the image is sonicboy's submission to the spring block party contest From April 2008, it’s a real image. I wouldn’t say it’s new though.
Lol idk why you're acting like that. do any amount of research on the forum archives, this is all proven.
Truthfully, Roblox history is very poorly documented. There's a good handful of incidents that have flown under the radar.
@Mcarcanjos He's currently banned, what information are you wanting exactly?
Ellernate, iTrapped, and Caleb never did the 4/1 hack. This was misinformation on the wiki for years and was perpetuated by Koneko's video on it in which he got a lot of info wrong. There was actually a breach that happened in May 2012, of which they are involved, but they never did the April Fools hack.
I'm researching and building a new page currently, and plan to fix up that page some day soon.
I'll at least give you a "brief" summary.
The April Fools Hack started because of a friend group of PGers who broke into Stealth Pilot's account, (an admin), and gained access to the panel. Main guys involved were:
- Olixx, a person who had been impersonating Minish and DracoSwordMaster for years
- McNoobster, who drew the face, did the site shouts, and published items on the catalog
- Pheedy, which was owned by madcodebrkr and qman1245
- and DaveDog, a person who owned the Leeav account for a short while after the original owner gave them the account.
There are some other users vaguely involved but it's being researched.
Ellernate, iTrapped, and Caleb did not do 4/1. Instead, they did a breach in May 2012.
Ellernate found a bug on one of the sitetest3 sites. He used the bug to spawn in Domino Crowns and punish scammers by stealing their items. He was intending to be using the admin panel "for good" before he planned to report the bug to Roblox. Before he did though, he shared it with his friends, which was a bad move, as they abused it. Caleb and iTrapped stole items, spawned items and robux, gave stuff to their friends, hacked some people, stole a couple accounts, etc. Definitely not to the degree of the April Fools hack though. one of the friends in their group, Twister92, ended up reporting the bug, getting them all banned except for him. iTrapped was mostly blamed for ALL the 2012 hacks by Roblox for some reason, so most of the original April Fools hackers got away with it all.
Long story short, no, this has been misinformation for years. A rewrite by me is planned soon!
I have a rough draft of this page on my own site voxelizedbits.com/hacks
Any evidence it's real? Looks kind of fake to me, things like this are easy to fake. One of my friends says the reee account had no activity until 2021.
I didn't contact Ellernate specifically, but he was going under the name Nate on the roblox-like website brick planet (previously bloxcity) and was an administrator there since 2016. This site is owned by iTrapped/Isaac Hymer, and given there was an admin named Nate in the Discord and website for ages, well, it seemed like a lead.
Ellernate was asked in 2021 about it by someone else. After asking the person who asked him, i looked at his given responses. he seemed uncharacteristic of an imposter. his oddly specific replies tipped it off he was likely the real Ellernate.
seemed to immediately know that twister recorded the video
claimed he did not do 4/1/12 and got mixed into it by mistake. (Information not commonly known at the time)
seemed to know a lot about another exploiting group
Did not advertise himself as "THE ELLERNATE!" at all
Logged into EllernateAlt right when the conversations on Discord took place
Email associated with the Ellernate account does have the name Nate attached to it in 2019
Was wearing an outfit on brickplanet extremely similar to an obscure outfit he wore on Roblox in 2011 that someone made art of.
not only that but ellernate was not often impersonated (in the mainstream roblox culture) until around the 2020s and this guy had been on the brickplanet site since 2016.
Twister was probably introduced to Ellernate, itrapped, and caleb by another guy named johnathan7777. Twister made websites, and so did itrapped. The contact i have, who was friends with twister and john, has been trying to contact them for me but they're just busy with life. My current contact did tell me they all knew each other, and told me any time twist or itrapped made a new website, they would all hop on it. So it makes sense for ellernate to be an admin on itrapped's currently longest lasting site. As for how i got contact with one of twister's friends, i was just messaging as many of his friends i could and the only active guy saw my message and we moved to steam.
As for the whole misunderstanding, yeah, when april fools happened, it was very confusing. Lots of accounts like dracoswordmaster, minish, and pheedy for example were constantly shared, passed between people, being sockpuppeted, or straight up imitated for years. It's a whole mess. Mcnoobster and olixx and their whole group had tons and tons of alts, joint accounts, and had ownership over a lot of accounts, including the ones I mentioned. Even JJ5x5, and a few other guys. Minish was being impersonated for several years for some reason. So when april fools happened lots of rumors surfaced. things like "i heard draco gave admin access to pheedy and then chaos ensued" or "stealth pilot got PGed by Minish". it's weird. When the wiki was being written for it a decade ago, research of stuff that happened in may got mixed up with april, and the rest is history. old forum posts also got this mixed up aswell. Mostly youtubers began to popularize it after that.
I have yet to really deep dive into it but i have a buddy who already did and he's told me these details.
You can also see the admin shoutbox in the original 4 minute cut of the admin panel video. you can see bans from after april 1st that are consistent with these guys ips. they had hundreds of accounts. The earliest they had access was apparently march 18th (ironically, john doe day)
Hi! I'm currently deep diving into these topics. Ellernate, caleb244, and itrapped were responsible for these may incidents, yes. Ellernate got access to the admin panel from Twister92, sometime between April 28th - 30th. Twister recorded the video. It was 30 minutes long (there is proof of its existence, and it was uploaded to youtube in June 2012 at least).
Ellernate SQL'd some domino crowns on May 2nd, one of which was allegedly taken from are92, and they were given to coolboy10000 and slaythedragon. Ellernate got banned later in the night.
He then used accounts Builderkid and EllernateAlt the following days and continued doing things in secrecy. he gave access to iTrapped, who did most of what was mentioned in the post - he abused it heavily to where they got caught.
Caleb mightve been involved but I'm unsure of his involvement because I haven't researched his side yet.
Twister likely reported the bug and/or ratted them out for his red banded top hat. After this incident, Roblox began using a new website for their admin panel called Simulping.
I'm currently in talks with one of Twister's old friends and have been trying to contact him if he has the video, but probably no luck. I've also wanted to simply talk to Twist, and one of his other friends who was connected, about the whole thing. But they are offline often and it is mostly a waiting game.
Ellernate was contacted and he doesn't have it. The current video you showed is a four minute cut of the 30 minute one, and the highest quality and oldest source I've found it from was a v3rm thread from december 2019 that links to a streamable page. The full video is probably somewhere out there. The four minute cut predates this v3rm thread though, as it apparently was floating around discord prior.
Ellernate, itrapped, etc weren't part of the april fools hack. These were an entirely separate group. Mcnoobster, olixx (who was impersonating minish for years) and their friend group were part of it. This is another thing I've yet to deep dive into.
The wiki was updated lately to be corrected on this misinformation in the meantime.
