Comparing the active count of decaying winter and anime fighting simulator (the original one), both havent been updated in a year (although DW did have a single balance update in the new version, but nothing new)

AFS has about 500 active players

DW has around 1500 active players

Even though AFS is more popular and well known than DW (DW has a total of about 60M visits while AFS has 1.3B visits), DW has much better player retention

And you know what? DW replayability comes from the game being fun, not the grind taking a long time (also a little side note, i can speedrun most of the content in DW in several hours but im still playing DW to this day)

also DW has no way to spend robux, like all of archeximus other games

Also DW caters to the more mature audience where AFS appeals to kids (and apparently everyone) so DW has a much more limited fan base than AFS

So in conclusion, we'll see how many people actually care about a game when it stops getting updated

Edit: i realized that i could replace decaying winter with Dummies versus noobs and leave this post basically unchanged

the games i like to play have:

-Grinding that doesnt make me want to esc r enter

-Engaging and/or unique gameplay compared to many other games of that genre

-(preferably) A combat game (pvp or pve, it doesnt matter)

-The game needs some skills (no simulators, tower defense, ect.)

-not pay to win

-(preferably) free to play

-not too rng based

Example of a game that meets all of these are:

-arcane odyssey (unique high quality rpg with lots of little details and unique features and original lore/story and unique combat and robux has no gameplay effects)

-decaying winter (unique and hard survival game, devs dont believe in microtransaction)

-vampire hunter 3 (murder mystery but with a very huge twist like survivors arent completely defenseless, robux has no gameplay effects)

-PWNED: Aeternae Memori (unique dungeon crawler with original story and lore and challenging bosses (from 0-7 and onwards) and beautiful environment and art with original characters)
