I tried it, it kinda is interesting
You basiclly mine for resources (Which is RNG but I wont blame that), forge your gears (The higher quality and quantity of the ore you put, the higher chance of certain weapon or armour, and the better you did the minigame the better the gear is) and then you fight mobs
