The account settings page gives the user control over of their Roblox account, such as changing the password or verifying your email. This is where you used to edit your blurb before the option to edit it on the "Profile" page was added. It is used for changes within your account and features five components: Account Info, Security, Privacy, Billing, and Notifications. All of these sections can make minor or major edits to your account.

Account Info[]

Details shown on this page are not real user details and are intended as placeholders.

In the Account Info tab of the My Account Page, the following information can be changed:

Account Info[]

Using this section, users can change their Username, Display name, e-mail address, and phone number.

Login Methods[]

This section allows you to use passkeys such as fingerprint, face ID and lock screens. And you can also change your account password.

Personal[]

In this section, users can edit their birthday, gender, language, account location, and theme.

Age Verification[]

Near the birthday section, there will be age verification. This is required for voice chat, using your camera in-game, and getting into 17+ games. Player accounts must be 13+ to be able to access voice chat and camera.

Social Networks[]

Here, users may add links to external social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, and Guilded), as well as change the visibility settings of these links. (users must be aged 13+ to do this action)

Security[]

2 Step Verification[]

By default, the 2 Step Verification feature is turned off. Here, users can turn it on, or turn it back off if they have previously turned it on. Users who turned it on have to provide their email address and their account password.

There are multiple different choices for the user to choose from to secure their account with 2 Step Verification, including:

  • Authenticator App: Apps such as Google Authenticator.
  • Email: Codes that are sent to your email that are used for 2 Step Verification.
  • Security Keys: Biometrics such as fingerprint or facial recognition. Keep in mind that this is supported on iPhone, iPad, and web browsers.

Users can generate backup codes in the case that they lose access to their other 2 Step Verification methods.

Where You're Logged In[]

This section will actively display every single device where you are logged into. It will also display the approximate location of the device and last time the device was active with your account.

Log Out of All Other Sessions[]

This button is at the bottom of the security page, and allows a user to force-log out of any other device that is logged in as them. This feature is useful for preventing hackers, who may change your password or if you forgot to log out on a public computer (such as library computers/e-cafe computers).

Privacy[]

  • Other Settings: Who can make me a member of their private server?, Who can join me in experiences?, Who can see my inventory?, Who can trade with me?, Trade quality filter

Account Restrictions[]

Users will be able to toggle the account restrictions feature here. Toggling account restrictions on turns off all communication settings and only allows the user's account to access experiences that are rated as All Ages.

This section allows users to toggle on or off Roblox's Spatial Voice and face tracking features.

This section allows users to customize how Roblox utilizes their phone number and contacts.

In this section, you can change whether or not your account will be recommended to other users on Roblox who have their phone number. This section also allows users to delete any synced contact data.

This page will also display the amount of Roblox credit the player has, and a button to convert that credit into Robux currency.

Parental Controls[]

MonthlySpend

The monthly spending limit with a spending limit set.

Here the user can enable Parent PIN and Account Restrictions. However, the "Monthly Spend Restrictions" and "Spend Notifications". Originally, these settings were only available for users under the age of 13, but are now available to all users regardless of their account age.

Parent PIN/Restrictions[]

Primarily used for parental controls, an account pin will prevent any settings from being changed before entering it, and having restrictions on will show only curated content on the platform as well as prevent the Privacy settings from being changed. If the users account age is under the age of 13, these options will be under the Parental Controls tab.

Allowed Experiences[]

This section allows users to change the maximum age recommendation of the experiences they can play.

If an experience exceeds the maximum age recommendation set in the user's settings, the user will not be able to play the experience.

Monthly Spend Restrictions (discontinued)[]

Monthly Spend Restrictions limits the amount of currency that can be spent on Robux or Roblox Premium in a month. Your account must have an Account Pin enabled and a verified email to use this feature. After enabling the feature a box will appear letting the legal guardian enter the monthly spend limit. This can be between zero and 10,000; if the setting is turned off, default platform restrictions will still apply. As of November 2024, this feature is considering being readded with the forthcoming parental controls update.

Spend Notifications[]

If this setting is enabled it will send notifications to the accounts verified email upon purchase of Robux or Roblox Premium. In order to use this feature the account will need a verified PIN and email. The legal guardian can choose between "Default Notifications" and "All Notifications". All notifications will send an email to the guardians email upon every purchase with real currency while default will only send notifications of the amount spent on the account is excessively high during a given month.

App Permissions[]

This page will display any external apps that are connected to the user's account.

Users are also able to see the permissions that the app can access, as well as remove the app or report the app.

Explanation of features[]

Select your theme[]

Themes change the way the website looks. Historically, an Outrageous theme has been available for OBC members only, as well as a Roblox 1.0/2.0/3.0 theme available to all users. However, these themes have been removed after the new site layout was released and now only Light and Dark mode are available.

Change your password[]

This button brings up a box where you can change your password. Remember to have a hard to guess password. It is recommended that passwords are strong, with numbers, letters, and symbols, to make it harder for other people to guess your password. Passwords that are a common name or word are not strong passwords. For example, "Password" is not a good password. "sdfghjkl15426" might be hard to guess, but it will also be really hard to remember. Find something that works for you. Learn about password security [1].

Update your email address[]

If you haven't verified your email yet, you can do it right here. Read over here for a tutorial on how to verify. You'll even get a free hat!

Updating your email address allows you to change it, for example if you change internet providers. You need to give your password when changing the email to prevent your account from being stolen if you forget to log out somewhere. Your email will not be shared with the public.
