First Deletion[]
Beekeepers! was deleted on June 9, 2020, because of copyright from the developer of Bee Swarm Simulator, Onett. The Beekeepers! developers spent 6 months on revamping the whole game. The second version was released on December 5, 2020.
Second Deletion[]
Beekeepers! was deleted again on December 10, 2020. The developers of Beekeepers! claimed the Onett was not the cause of this deletion. It was later revealed that another Bee swarm fan game called "The Bees History" made a false copyright claim to get the game taken down. On April 1, 2021, the developers said that they will be known as "Birdkeepers!". Many people thought is was an April Fools prank but on April 5, 2021, The developers said that it was not an April Fools joke.
