Black Friday 2016 was a Black Friday sale on Roblox that started on November 25, 2016, and ended on November 28, 2016.
Prior to the sale, on November 15, 2016, Roblox released a poll on Facebook, X (known as Twitter at the time) and Google+ in which users could vote on what accessories they'd like to see participate in the sale.[1] The poll featured 6 ways users could vote to influence the sale:
- A multiple choice selection of three potential accessories: Solid Gold Aviators, Golden Justice Warrior and Golden Hood of Mystery. The winning item would be obtained by redeeming a $10 Gift card during the sale weekend.
- A free response box to vote for an accessory to go limited.
- A free response box to vote for an off-sale accessory to return during the sale.
- A free response box to vote for an on-sale accessory to be discounted during the sale.
- A free response box to vote for an a gear to be discounted during the sale.
- A free response box to vote for an a bundle to be discounted during the sale.

Day 1 (Black Friday)[]
Wave 1[]
Two new items were released to the Marketplace:
- Overseer Guardia - 75 Robux (four-hour timer)
- Golden Hood of Mystery - Winning gift card item from the poll.
Several items were discounted in price:
- Crimson Wings - 1,000 Robux → 500 Robux (50% off).
- Sleek Sunglasses - 1,500 Robux → 750 Robux (50% off).
- Red Rolling Hoverboard - 150 Robux → 75 Robux (50% off).
- Pirate Captain's Hat - 2,000 Robux → 1,000 Robux (50% off).
Wave 2[]
At 7:00 a.m. PST, Roblox announced via tweet that three face accessories under the Shinestone Eyes series would be releasing at various times for one hour each.

Starting at 8:00 a.m. PST, and ending at 10:00 a.m. PST, three new face accessories were released an hour apart for 100 Robux each:
- Shinestone Shades: Ruby Radiance - 100 Robux (one-hour timer),
- Shinestone Eyes: Sapphire Sass - 100 Robux (one-hour timer),
- Shinestone Eyes: Emerald Extreme - 100 Robux (one-hour timer),
Wave 3[]
Several bundles were discounted in price:
- Crimson Claw: The Vengeful - 1,000 Robux → 500 Robux (50% off).
- Gingerbread Man - 500 Robux → 100 Robux (80% off).
- The Overseer - 2,000 Robux → 750 Robux (63% off).
- Golden Suit of Bling Squared - 5,000 Robux → 1,000 Robux (80% off).
Several bundles were bought back on-sale:
- Neon Party Guy - 250 Robux.
- Santa Claus - 250 Robux (30-day timer).
- Bigfoot Boarder - 2,000 Robux (two-day timer).
Two accessories went limited:

- Due to a mistake, the Overseer Guardia was accidentally published to the Marketplace two days earlier then intended on November 23, 2016. The hat remained off-sale until the start of Day 1.[2]
