This article is about the chat-related feature. Not to be confused with Class:Dialog.
Bubble chat is a feature released on Roblox on November 26, 2009.[1] Any messages sent will appear above the users head in a speech bubble. Before this time, players were forced to chat with a scrolling view on the side of their screen containing all chat text. Now, owners of places can choose the configuration option if they want bubble chat, regular chat, or both. In 2020, an upgraded version of bubble chat was revealed, giving the bubble chat rounded corners, animations, as well as the ability to be customized with different transitions, colors, and fonts.[2]
Note: Bubble chat should not be used in games that involve hiding, such as Hide and Seek, as most people can see it and give away the location of hiders.
Bugs and Glitches[]
An example of a bugged speech bubble. An arrow is placed to show what the original message actually is.
Some of these players notice that the Speech Bubble is cut off. There is also another glitch where if you type a space in the chat the message appears as nothing and that is the same with the bubble chat above you.
