Pal Hair (also known as baconhair) is a hair accessory that was published to the avatar shop by ROBLOX on July 17, 2012. Introduced in late 2014, it is the default hair for male users when signing up for a Roblox account. It can also be purchased for free. As of May 21, 2020, it has been favorited 416,390 times and purchased 3,821,480 times.
Obtainability
Starting on May 30, 2014, new male players of Roblox began to receive the Pal Hair for free. Players who joined before May 30, 2014, female players, or Xbox one players had to buy the Pal Hair for 90 Robux. However, on November 6, 2018, it became free for those who did not already own it.

Criticism
Many users who despise the Pal Hair often characterize it as "Bacon Hair" since its the shape of mesh and texture resembles strips of bacon, although the term is also used by those who are fond of the item. It is believed to be a trend that began on the Let's Make a Deal subforum.
Some users have criticized it for the fact it used to cost 90 Robux in the catalog for those who signed up before it was introduced, and when it was made free it was still subject to the complaint as those who purchased the Pal Hair for 90 Robux felt ripped off.
