Red Banded Top Hat is a hat that was published in the avatar shop by Roblox on July 16, 2008. It is part of the Banded Top Hat series and is awarded to players who assist Roblox administrators in finding or resolving specific platform issues and illegal activities occurring outside of the Roblox platform that would concern the Roblox administration and violate U.S. law. As of August 30, 2021, it has been favorited 8,315 times.

Users are encouraged to report to: if they find a platform glitch, a platform bug and/or an illegal activity taking place outside of Roblox that would concern the Roblox administration. Users who submit reports that are deemed eligible by the Roblox administration will be awarded the top hat as not all reports are eligible for awarding. Users who report more serious platform issues, such as programming faults or security vulnerabilities, are awarded the Boss White Hat instead of the Red Banded Top Hat.
