Appearance[]

A sword with a sharp, crimson-red blade that has a flame design visible on both sides of the fuller, while the golden and red cross-guard is curved upwards and has spikes protruding outwards. When equipped in game, it originally emitted rapid reddish-yellow Fire light iconFire dark iconFire but now has its own unique flaming particle effect.[1]

Function[]

It can slash and lunge like any other classic sword, but the unique property of this weapon is that the lunge enables the user to travel a short distance further while leaving a short-lasting trail of flames that deals continuous damage to any living entity that steps on it (except the user).

In terms of special abilities, the Telamonster's Q and E moves are focused on trapping opponents, and will cause the Sky light iconSky dark iconSky to switch to a dark, maroon gradient for a few seconds after activation. It is also important to note that both abilities have an approximate 15-second cooldown before they can be used again.

Pressing Q will instantly snare any living entities (players) within a certain radius of the user upon activation and inflicts a DOT that does 30 damage in total, lasting for approximately 4 seconds. Affected players are encased in a set of coiled red vines, unable to move until the ability wears off but can still use their own gear.

On the other hand, pressing E results in a similar effect to the ability of Chaos Master's Wing Slasher with the same cooldown. However, it also has certain differences aside from animation.

  • Telamonster's unwing does 75 damage rather than 65.
  • Telamonster does not have a 1.25 second windup.
  • Telamonster has a significantly larger range.
  • Telamonster also detects "BodyGyro".
  • Telamonster cannot unwing players who have a forcefield on.

Update[]

It was updated by TakeoHonorable around April 2019:

  • Fire effect updated.
  • New and improved Q ability, featuring a fiery explosive slam into the ground that does the following:
    • Within a 60 stud radius, deals 60 damage and applies thorns that deal 31.5 damage over 3.5 seconds
    • Within a 150 stud radius, creates a shockwave that trips and knocks back (while applying bodyvelocity to) all players hit as well as dealing 20 damage, from testing it does not appear that this damage can stack with the 60 stud radius.
    • Similarly to unwing it has a 20 second cooldown.
  • Passive ability that causes all people near the sword to burn, dealing 10 damage per second of exposure.
  • E ability has updated visuals.
  • New pose for avatar image on website when equipped with R15.
