Chipotle Burrito Builder (formerly Chipotle Boorito Maze) is an experience that was developed by the group Chipotle. It is sponsored by the restaurant chain Chipotle. The first 30,000 players could have obtained a code in-game each day from October 28, 2021 (the same day as the 2021 Roblox outage began), to October 31, 2021, which can only be redeemed in either the United States or Canada. The codes for the free burritos expired on November 14, 2021.[1]
On April 1, 2022, the Chipotle Twitter account hinted at a possible return to Roblox, asking customers what ingredients should be included in a hypothetical Roblox community-based burrito.[2]
Due to a false rumor that claimed the influx of users on the experience for the real-life promotion was to blame for the 2021 Roblox outage, the game's approval rating dipped from 81.0% to 60.6%. However, on October 29, 2021, Roblox debunked it stating that no experience or partnership was to blame for the outage.[3]
Gameplay[]
Once spawned, players can redeem codes from the Cashier within the restaurant to get a limited-time code in order to receive a free burrito from Chipotle. Players can also complete the Chipotle Boorito Maze to obtain free and exclusive daily items.
