Blood and Iron is a first-person shooter game created by user CoderQwerty. The game is based around the Napoleonic Wars. B&I features historical regiments such as the French Old Guard and the British 42nd Foot Regiment.
Teams/Factions[]
As of October 2 2023, there are eleven nations in the game. The teams are all real-life countries which were belligerents in the Napoleonic Wars. Players can choose their team in the team selection menu before the start of a match, however each map only has two team options depending on the location. Some countries involved in the real life war were not included; these countries are the Kingdom of Italy, the Kingdom of Naples, and the Kingdom of Portugal.

Classes[]
Since the game is based around the Napoleonic Wars, the main weapons are muskets, rifles, and swords/sabres. It also features different classes.
The Infantry class has Line Infantry, which is equipped with a Musket with a Bayonet attachment and either a Sword or Sabre. Line infantry includes Rankers (normal soldiers), Officers (less powerfully equipped soldiers that buff nearby teammates), Sappers (builders), Fifers (Fife players), Drummers (Drum players), Color (flag) Bearers, and Bagpipers (Bagpipe players) if on the United Kingdom team.
The Skirmisher class has either Light Infantry or Riflemen, usually both. Light Infantry Rankers are equipped with a musket without a bayonet, and Riflemen are equipped with a carbine Rifle. The light infantry musket reloads faster than the normal musket. The light musket also has better accuracy. Both classes also include Officers and Buglers (Bugle players).
The Militia class, which only certain teams have, has either Line Infantry, Light Infantry, or Riflemen. Poland and Russia, however, have the Partisan class. Militia Light Infantry and Riflemen do not have Buglers. Russian Light Infantry also has Pikemen. Partisans are equipped with two random weapons.
The Cavalry class, which all teams but the Duchy of Nassau have, are soldiers that fight on horseback. It includes Hussars, Lancers, and Dragoons. Hussar Rankers are equipped with either a Sabre or a Sword depending on the country. Lancer Rankers are equipped with either a Sword or a Sabre and a Lance. Great Britain does not have Lancers. Dragoon Rankers are equipped with either a Sword or a Sabre, and when off horseback, a Musketoon (carbine musket). All three classes also include Officers and Buglers. Cavalry Officers do not have Pistols or Spyglasses.
Hussars have the fastest horses, lancers and dragoons have the same horse that are slower than hussars. When a lancer is on a hussar horse, it's lance can oneshot anyone when going at full speed.
The Artillery class, which all teams but the Duchy of Nassau have, mans Cannons. Rankers are equipped with Swords/Sabres and Rammers, which give them the ability to reload Cannons. Officers have the default Officer equipment, and cannot reload Cannons. Both Rankers and Officers can pick up round shots and canister shots and fire the Cannon.
The French and its Allies, Spain, and Brunswick are equipped with Sabres, while other nations' regiments are equipped with Swords.
