Initial Despacito is a satirical hangout game created by AznDibs based on the Despacito Spider, a meme originating from Robloxian Highschool.
Gameplay[]
Many of the aspects in initial despacito revolve around the fact that players are likely to play the game simply for the ironic factor. As such, the game has many prompts to purchase developer products or gamepasses using Robux in order to activate certain features, such as an intentionally low-effort battle royale or currency rain.
'T-bux' (aka Tofu Bux) is the only currency in the game, and can be earned by collecting white squares from the ground or through 'delivering tofu' by travelling up a mountain and going through a door. T-bux can also be purchased using Robux, however is lost upon death.
In terms of usage, T-bux allows the player to access vehicles that can be used to travel faster, and may also be spent to purchase guns from a shop at the top of the mountain which are intended to be used in order to kill other players and thus take their T-bux.
In general, the game primarily relies on irony around the Despacito Spider meme and the various other references to (often outdated) forms of popular culture to maintain the experience.
