Development[]
Foam FPS was developed by IsaacThePooper. Its development started in late 2016. The current Foam FPS is a subsequent entry of its predecessor, Foam FPS 2016. Foam FPS 2018, its supposed sequel, was scrapped from development. A sizeable amount of features and concepts from Foam FPS 2018 were then used for the updates of Foam FPS.
Morris' time to develop his other projects was given to that of Foam FPS.[1]
Release[]
The experience was released in January 2017. Since its release, its concurrent active player base was 14,000 back in 2017.[1] In June 2021, 4 years after its release, Morris released a cinematic trailer for the experience as a means to promote the experience and its growth.[2]
