Roblox, (formerly stylized as ROBLOX) is an automated staff-ran account that shares its name with the platform, primarily used to publish items to the Marketplace. Due to a database change, all accounts created before 2006 had their join date changed to February 27, 2006. It used to have a fully-capitalized username to match with Roblox's former branding, however, was renamed to "Roblox" on May 13, 2021, to be more in-line with Roblox's current branding. The account used to have Turbo Builders Club, which was changed to Outrageous Builders Club in 2013, and finally to Premium in 2019. The account's current ID is 1[note 1].

Places[]

The Roblox administrators, who have used the account collectively, made more than 100 places; only 27 of them are active. The account's places include all of the starter places and other classic games, such as Crossroads and Chaos Canyon.

Experiences[]

The Roblox account hosted a variety of experiences up to c. September 12th, 2017,⁠[citation needed] with the number of public games having slowly diminished for some time prior until all of the account's games—except for Crossroads—were made private on the aforementioned date. Friends[]

From its creation up until June 17th of 2007, the Roblox account had no friends.[1] On August 8th, 2007 to August 23rd, 2009 (or possibly further), the account auto-accepted friend requests. The friend list of the account was eventually wiped on or before January 7th, 2010.[2]

On August 5th, 2015, Two users, Txnqo (terminated) and OVOTango (presumably the same person), became the account's friends. Txnqo was removed a day later, with OVOTango being removed either on or before the 29th. It's suspected that Tango had either hacked their way onto the friend's list, or wished to be on it via the Make-A-Wish Foundation.[3]

Inventory[]

The Roblox account's inventory was publicly viewable until c. March 5th, 2015, after which it went private and became unable to be viewed by regular users. Roblox's most recently published hats can still be viewed through the "collections" showcase on its profile, however. The private inventory feature was made available to all players 3 years later originally only being available to the Roblox account.[4]

Value[]

The Roblox account is known to own a copy of the vast majority of accessories and gears ever released to the Marketplace. In Limited items, Roblox has approximately 303,938,766 collective RAP and is valued a little less than 1.6 times this amount according to fan sites.[5]

Guest Accounts[]

The appearance of the Roblox account used to be connected to all Guest accounts. For instance, if the Roblox account decided to put on a Sparkle Time Fedora, all guest accounts following the changed avatar would get the Sparkle Time Fedora. To combat this, the accounts DefaultGuest, BillyBloxxer, and BettyBloxxer were created to keep the Roblox account's appearance separate from Guests and to define the Guest look.

Male guests, using the look from BillyBloxxer wore the True Blue Hair. Female guests, using the look from BettyBloxxer wore the Pinktastic Hair. Ungendered Guests (those who don't pick a gender or play on iOS devices), using the look from DefaultGuest wore the 'R' Baseball Cap.

All of the Guests wore the Robloxian 2.0 bundle.

Gear issue[]

When gear was first released, this became a problem. Any guest playing a game that allowed gear would receive all of the gear Roblox owned. Both of these were fixed by creating the BillyBloxxer, BettyBloxxer and DefaultGuest accounts, which became the new outfits for guests.

Last Active Dates[]

In February 2016, the Roblox account was seen updating its avatar and games, although the Roblox API and Roblox's profile both still claimed the account had been last online in 2006. The account logged on to Roblox on September 8, 2017, for unknown reasons. Later, the Roblox account updating Crossroads on September 26, 2017. According to Roblox's APIs, Roblox had last been online in September 2017. However, in 2021, the last online date was reset to 2006 along with that of many other old accounts due to an error. On September 30, 2022, the account went online due to one of the requirements to get the Verified Badge is that the account has to be online at least once every six months. On October 1, 2022, the official Roblox fan group was transferred from the account to the Games account for unknown reasons. On March 23, 2023, the Roblox account logged on and changed its avatar to a basic one with no added clothes and a simple animated head. Though, this was changed a couple days later, returning to the 2017 look with a Stevie Standard dynamic head. On October 4, 2023, the account came online possibly to get verified again. On March 25, 2025, the account came online then changed avatar 35 times, with all of the avatars being one of the former Xbox exclusive bundles, before going back to the normal avatar.[6]

Original Account[]

Both David Baszucki's account and "53453485738247235" have (or used to have) places called "ROBLOX's place"[7][8] (before "53453485738247235" was hacked and had it's place's name changed to "poop.txt"), suggesting that 53453485738247235 (registered on May 22nd 2005, ID 84) was the first account to have the username "ROBLOX".

In 2007, it's username was given to the newest Roblox account (which is now called david.baszucki) to switch the username of the two accounts, before the official introduction of changing usernames, you were required to have both usernames to switch a username to another, like how Telamon changed his username to Shedletsky, with Telamon's join date showing as 2010 and Shedletsky [which was named Telamon when it was first registered] joining in 2006, the same goes for david.baszucki being created in May 2007 and Roblox being created before Feb 2006.

Ironically, the Roblox account doesn't have a place called "ROBLOX's place".

  • It can be seen that David Baszucki's account originally had the ID of 1 in 2006, it's ID was changed to 1 in 2007.[9]
  • The Roblox account used to be active in 2006–2010, and then it became an automated account.
  • Although on the website it states that Roblox joined on February 27, 2006, that is not true since its actual join date is on May 22nd, 2005.
  • Roblox used to have custom pants that only some people could wear, It is now changed to Oakly Pants.
