Shard Seekers is a 3D Roblox online animal-shifting roleplay experience created by Tomarty Roblox Verified Badge. The game was officially released on January 4th, 2016.

Development[]

Shards are the main (and only) currency of the game. You can buy characters and pets with them. In order to get shards;

  • You can follow streaks of light that fall from the sky to find them, which appear as large glowing crystals.
  • Using flying characters to seek shards they move faster than most land characters.

Ways that are no longer possible to obtaining shards:

  • Fighting passive creatures will not give you shards as of 2020.

Shards will occasionally fall to the ground, signified by a beam of light. There are six colors of shards that will land on the map (ordered by rarity): white, yellow, purple, blue, red, and black. You can get up to around 30 shards per fallen shard (on average, a newly fallen shard will give 3-8 shards, but larger ones usually give an average of 9-16 shards). The colors of fallen shards do matter. White, yellow, and sometimes purple and blue shards give a less amount than the Red and Black shards. They give at least 1-30 shards. When collected, they disappear. Multiple players can collect the same fallen shard. Over time, uncollected shards will shrink, losing value until eventually disappearing for good. There is an animation when others collect shards; light-colored beams go into them. Helping other players shard seek by giving them rides now gives the helper bonus shards. Once the bonus shard bar fills up, the helper will receive 25% of the shards they helped the other person collect.

Shards can be purchased using Robux. This is optional and all pets can be unlocked if you put in the time and effort.

Soundtrack[]

The soundtrack of Shard Seekers consists of 13 original compositions by Tim Beek.

Its soundtrack(s) can be heard here.

Animals[]

Animals are the center morphs of the game, the character that the player can play besides the characters. Animals cost shards. There are a different variety of animals, and mixed with many wild animals of animals and mammals, house animals, and mythical creatures, and dinosaurs.

NPC’s[]

NPCs are non-player characters located at various points across the map that include fauna, monsters, and the various character races. All NPCs walk around aimlessly until provoked.

NPCs of the various character races are usually found near houses, though Blood Elves are usually found near caves.

You can speak to the NPC characters, though as of the latest update it does nothing. When spoken to, they used to say things like, "Hi. How are you?" or "Hello (typical NPC things)."

When provoked, they will draw their swords and attack you back. They also taunt you by saying things like,"Ow! You made a mistake,"(Human female) or "I don't converse with my prey/prepare to die."(Blood Elf).

Sometimes, when you sheath your sword, the NPC will also and stop attacking, though this isn't always true.

When killed, they will drop one to two shards, and then respawn very close by within five seconds.

This Tweet will show you the voice actors.

Non-Human NPCs consist of deer, bears, scorpions, golems, and dragons.

Deer, when attacked, will not attack back or try to run away, but they don't drop shards when killed.

All other Non-Human NPCs will attack back, and drop one to two shards when killed.

Dragons are the most uncommon NPC, spawning in only two areas, the Sky Islands (hatchling), and the Southern Isles (adult). When provoked, they will relentlessly claw and breath fire at you, which drains a lot of health. They are a waste of time to kill, because they still only drop one to two shards.

Trivia[]

This section is a trivia section. Please relocate any relevant information into other sections of the article.

  • There are several large shapes on the map that look similar to already collected fallen shards, whether this is intentional or not is unknown.
  • The most common place to find shards is the map "Deathly Volcano".
  • White mushrooms are very annoying, they can confuse players to think that they are white shards.
