Dungeon Quest is an RPG dungeon crawl experience created by vCaffy and is currently actively developed by Voldex Games under the community Dungeon Quest by Voldex. Players must progress through dungeons and battle hoards of enemies in order to obtain better items for their character. They may travel alone or in groups.
Dungeons[]
There are currently 19 in the game: Desert Temple (Legacy/Remastered), Winter Outpost (Legacy/Remastered), Pirate Island, King's Castle, Underworld, Samurai Palace, The Canals, Ghastly Harbor, Steampunk Sewers, Orbital Outpost, Volcanic Chambers, Aquatic Temple, Enchanted Forest, Northern Lands, Gilded Skies, Yokai Peak and Abyssal Void. All of them have a hardcore mode which gives twice the loot, but only one life. Both Desert Temple (Legacy) and Winter Outpost (Legacy) dungeons can be played in Easy, Medium, Hard, Insane and Nightmare difficulties, with each difficulty being significantly harder to complete. The remastered Desert Temple and Winter Outpost only have Easy, Medium and Hard difficulties, and dungeons starting from Pirate Island only have Insane and Nightmare difficulties.

Weapon Rarity[]
In the game, players will come across weapons of varying rarity, which are identified by color, ultimately affecting how powerful they are. The rarities, from weakest to strongest respectively, are: Common (Grey), Uncommon (Green), Rare (Blue), Epic (Purple), and Legendary (Orange). In Northern Lands and Abyssal Void, Ultimate (Red) is introduced as well.

Tips[]
- Get close to your enemy and back off when you alert them and then attack with your melee while walking backwards just out of their range, this will allow you to attack them without getting harmed. You may need to go into first person mode or have shift lock on in order to do this.
- This strategy is not that effective in later dungeons since more mobs that have special abilities appear, although a speed boost skill can make it easier.
- Only upgrade the stats that fit your class (Guardian/Tank, Warrior or Mage). If Guardian/Tank, only upgrade stamina. If Warrior/Mage, Focus on upgrading physical/Spell power (for pirate island and above, the official wiki will tell you how much health you will need for each difficulty).
- Get used to a boss's cycle. Watching videos about dungeon quest might help you get used to the cycle. With this knowledge, you can anticipate attacks making it easier to dodge.
- This strategy is not that effective in Yokai Peak and Remastered Desert Temple as the boss's attacks are random instead of having a set cycle.
- Legacy Desert Temple is the only dungeon where the rooms are randomized. Remember the layout of the other dungeons and what time should be on the Timer at certain rooms/bosses as to not run out of time.
- From Volcanic Chambers, players can get a spell called Inner Rage/Focus (Warrior and Mage variant). It's highly useful in later games, since it can increase player's walkspeed and provides damage boost for Melee and Warrior spell/Mage Spell (depend on what class variant is) for around 4 secs with only 6.5 secs cooldown. there are also legendary versions that provide a better damage boost. Inner Rage/Focus and their legendary upgrades are required in Northern Lands, as the first boss uses an attack that's impossible to dodge without the ability.
- Do not fully rely on Tanks/Healers since Northern Lands, As some of the enemies now gains the ability to inflict "Anti-heal" debuff to players upon hit.
Minmaxing[]
Minmaxing is the character-building strategy of maximizing a specific desirable ability, skill, or other power of a character and minimizing everything else, seen as undesirable. The result is a character who is excessively powerful in one particular way, but exceedingly weak in others. The latter would make minmaxing not worth the trouble if there were multiple facets to this game, but the only thing you do is run dungeons.
- Gear upgrades increase exponentially per point. It caps at 10 points per upgrade. However, if a piece of gear was designed specifically for Physical Power, Spell Power or Stamina, it will give 10 points per upgrade from upgrade level 1.
- Skill Points multiply the amount of upgrades you have on your gear, and vice versa.
- The more damage or healing a move does, the better it scales with your Skill Points and gear upgrades. Because of this, the ideal DPS moves are either ones that do a large chunk of damage at once, on a longer recharge time, or give a speed boost. For normal mob grinding, 2 Pulse Waves remains the best combination of moves. For boss fights or doing your highest dungeon, 1 speed spell and 1 damage spell is usually the best combination. We will change this if we find out it's inaccurate.
- DOTs(damage over time moves) are less viable because they leave more room for error. Moves with the same "cooldown" have the exact same damage. Because of this, if you miss just 1 tick of the DOT on any of the mobs in the pack, you're already behind.
Mages (DPS)[]
- Mages want to put some of their points into Spell Power, and use mage armor and mage weapons. The ranged aspect of this class makes them more viable for solo content (early-mid game). however, in later dungeons, warrior and mage become identical.
Warriors (DPS)[]
- Warriors want to put some of their points into Physical Power, and use warrior armor and warrior weapons. Because they usually have to get within melee range of the enemy, they have more risk of being killed. however, in later dungeons, it essentially turns into mage 2.0. Unless you're doing group content with a tank or healer, this role may be less viable than mage (early-mid game).
Tanks (Support)[]
- Tanks want to put all of their points into Stamina, and use guardian armor and mage weapons. The aggro system in this game is not very complex, so all a tank has to do is use one of the many taunts, and put a heal spell in the other slot. Because of their lack of damage, they are not viable for solo content. However, if you're playing with a group, tanks are very good for areas new to your level.
Healers (Support)[]
- Healers want to put all of their points into Stamina, and use guardian armor and mage weapons. They play very similarly to Tanks, but without the use of taunts. Because of their lack of damage, they are not viable for solo content. However, if you're playing with a group, healers are usually important.
Glitches[]
- In King's Castle, stand before the staircase and wait for the king to jump. After he jumps to you there's a chance he'll get stuck. At this point, the king will no longer be able to move and you can attack him from a safe distance to defeat him. (If anyone walks behind him on the stairs, he will become un-stuck and begin attacking again.)
- This can also deal with Lava King in Volcanic Chambers. by disabling his bomb orb ability and gain more survival rates.
Reception and Criticism[]
- Upon release, the game was highly praised by the community to be a refreshing and fun game entry on Roblox. It is considered by some to be 2019's "game of the year".
- In 7th Annual Bloxys, although not nominated, this game along with Super Striker League received Builderman Award of Excellence instead.
- Due to no tutorial being present when the game was released, others have criticized the game for its confusing way of introducing concepts of the game, such as entering dungeons or obtaining new weapons and items. This problem was resolved since Ghastly Harber dungeon update.
- It has also been criticized for its linear and repetitive gameplay style (specifically at Desert Temple). The old GUI of the game has also been criticized by a small portion of players as it uses different and conflicting styles rather than a uniform style, despite not taking much away from the gameplay.
