Egg Hunt 2019 Avatar Contest was a contest on Roblox which began on April 26, 2019 and ended on May 10, 2019.

Background

On April 26, 2019, Roblox announced in a blog post that they were hosting an avatar design contesthttps://blog.roblox.com/2019/04/egg-hunt-2019-avatar-contest/. The rules were to make an avatar with any of the Egg Hunt 2019 eggs and reply to their tweet with the avatar picture, profile link and some hashtags. 50 winners were chosen. 25 from Instagram and 25 from Twitter. The winners were given the Eggcentric Egg Pauldrons. Only 50 users own this item. The deadline for entrees was on May 3, 2019 at 12 P.M. Entrance Procedure

In order to participate in the contest users had to accept the Roblox Terms of Use and be 13 years of age of older in order to be eligible to participate. It was only open to players residing in the United States and Canada and owned a valid Instagram account. Roblox employees and their family members were prohibited from participating in the contest.

Twitter Route

There were two ways to participate. One being the Twitter route. In order to participate using Twitter users had to:

  1. Log into your Twitter account.
  2. Follow Roblox’s Twitter account.
  3. Within the Contest Period, reply to our Twitter tweet with the following in the for your Entry: a link to your Roblox profile, and the hashtag “#EggHunt2019”and “#Roblox” in the caption.
  4. You must post your own Roblox profile and not anyone else’s. If you are caught posting anyone else’s avatar you will be disqualified.
  5. Your Twitter profile must be public to qualify.
  6. Submitting more than one post will not increase your chances of winning and multiple entries will not be accepted.
  7. Your Roblox avatar MUST be equipped with the newest eggs from Egg Hunt 2019:  Scrambled in Time.
  8. Anyone found to use multiple accounts to enter the Contest will be ineligible to participate in the Contest.
  9. Any Entry that is obscene, or anything that does not follow Roblox’s Community Guidelines, will not be accepted.
  10. To be valid, all Entries must be received no later than Friday May 3, 2019, 12 PM PDT.
  11. We will announce winners Friday May 10, 2019.

Instagram route

The second way was to submit avatars using Instagram.

  1. Log into your Instagram account.
  2. Follow Roblox’s Instagram account.
  3. Within the Contest Period, reply to our Instagram post by commenting “#RobloxEggHunt2019” and “#Roblox” to let us know you’ve successfully created a submission.
  4. Within the Contest Period, post a photo to Instagram of your Roblox Avatar with your Roblox username in the caption. Make sure your username is spelled correctly.  Add the hashtag“#RobloxEggHunt2019” and #Roblox in the caption. You must post your own Roblox Avatar and not anyone else’s. If you are caught posting anyone else’s avatar you will be disqualified.
  5. Your Instagram profile must be public to qualify.
  6. Submitting more than one post will not increase your chances of winning and multiple entries will not be accepted.
