List of faces[]
The following is an extensive list of documented faces. The list can also be viewed here.
History[]
In January 2007, Roblox held their first event, the Homestead Furniture Making Contest. Winners were able to customize their character, which was impossible at the time. The event was primarily held to test t-shirts, however users Cadi and Miked decided to add a face to his avatar. Two other users also had decals on their heads, but not in the shape of a face. It's unknown what happened with the faces.
Faces were officially added in January 2009.[1] Chill, Check It and Silly Fun were some of the first faces to be added.
On July 26, 2023, Chill, Check It, and many other faces on the marketplace were taken off-sale for unknown reasons. Users in the community have questioned this odd decision – some have speculated this happened because Roblox is paving way for their newer animated head bundles, essentially phasing out most of these faces.[2] The removal of these faces have caused concern and outrage amongst the community.
Colored Faces[]
Colored faces first appeared in the marketplace in October 2009. They are usually sold as LimitedU, and are then resold by users for profit. Most of these faces are also expected to increase in Recent Average Price over-time as a result of inflation, however, some do stay relatively close to their original price if they are in low-demand.
The face Red Tango was the first face with color and was originally sold for 500 Robux, while today it is the most expensive face in the Catalog at a Recent Average Price of around 500,000 Robux.
