ROBLOX Winter Wonderland Contest was a contest that took place from December 13, 2007, to January 8, 2008. It was the last contest on Roblox for the year 2007.
Background[]
The contest was first announced in a blog post.[1] The objective was to build a Winter themed building. The winners would receive an Ice Crown and 1,200 Robux.[2]
Entrance Procedure[]
In order for players to enter the contest they had to build:
- A skating pond
- A snow fort
- A ski lift
- Ice sculptures
- Sleds
- Gifts under trees
According to the Roblox blog the buildings would be judged according to:
- Originality (show us something new and exciting)
- Winteryness (it is a Winter Wonderland, you know)
- Fun (is your level fun?)
- Awesomeness (The "Wow! How did he do that?!" effect)
- Popularity (if you've had 20 people playing in your map since you've released it, that's got to count for something)
After creating the building users then had to send an email to event@roblox.com and include these:
Email for the Competing class:
1. The words "I am competing for fame and prizes!"
2. Your account name.
That account must have the Winter Wonderland place on it. We’re not going looking all over for these places. Prizes will go to the account name listed here, no substitutions.
3. Call your place "__________ Winter Wonderland" where your account name is in the blank.
Example: ReeseMcBlox’s Winter Stronghold.
Email for the Showing class:
1. The words, "I just want to show off my creations. I don’t really care about prizes."
2. Your account name.
That account must have the Winter Wonderland place on it. We’re not going looking all over for these places. Prizes will go to the account name listed here, no substitutions.
3. Call your place "__________ Winter Wonderland" where your account name is in the blank.
