People list

The current people list, which has a close button.

The people list (formerly player list) is an in-Experience GUI which lists all of the Users which are currently in the Server, in alphabetical order of Display Names (or, if the people list has a leaderboard, the people list would display their Display Names from the highest value of the leaderboard's first column to the lowest value of the same column). Users can hide the people list by activating "Expand/Collapse" then activating "Leaderboard" or by pressing ↹ Tab. Users can also send friend requests, report other Users, and examine the Avatars of any Users in the Server via the people list.

There is a Lua asset created by Roblox which contains code used around August 29, 2014.

Icons

Builders Club

If a person had a Builders Club membership, a BC, TBC, or OBC symbol would appear beside their username, depending on what membership they had (formerly yellow, orange, and black hard hats respectively, previously various-colored arrows between two brackets, one blue arrow for a BC member, two yellow arrows for a TBC member, and three orange arrows for an OBC member). This no longer exists due to Roblox Premium replacing Builders Club.

Roblox Premium

If a person has a Roblox Premium subscription, an icon with a symbol resembling a Roblox logo variation with a "P" inside will appear next to their username.

Experience owner

If a developer of an Experience joins it, a ribbon would appear beside their username (if the user has a Roblox Premium membership or is an Administrator, the ribbon will still appear). This was changed to a white version of the Roblox Studio icon for one day and was reverted for unknown reasons but was eventually reused. The newest version is a white hammer.

Administrator

If an Administrator joins a Server, the Roblox "R" logo would appear beside their username (if they had a Builders Club membership, it will still appear). As of January 10, 2017, a tilted "O" in the Roblox logo replaced the "R" as the administrator symbol.

Star Program

If a YouTube celebrity who is part of the Roblox Video Stars Program joins a Server, a shooting star will appear beside their username in the people list. One example is Conor3D.

Intern

If an Intern joins a Server, a graduation cap icon will appear beside their username. There are some public YouTube videos of meeting interns such as alexnewtron and Merely in which the user can see the intern icon on the people list.

Localization Expert

Members of the Localization Expert Groups get a white globe next to their name in the people list. These Groups are currently unused and are all 'WIP'. The icon is only accessible to members of the Groups in rank 252 or higher (Team Manager).

List

The people list that was used from August 3, 2006 onwards to March 26, 2007. This font was later changed from Eras Bold ITC to Comic Sans.

The people list that was used from March 26, 2007 to October 2009. The Comic Sans font was changed to Arial in October 2009.

The people list used from October 2009 to April 2011.

The people list used in May 2011. Usernames no longer feature their corresponding chat color.

The people list used from June 2011 to December 2012.

The people list used from December 2012 to September 2013.

The people list used from September 2013 to August 2014. This is the same as the previous one but the font is Arial Bold.

The people list from August 2014 to February 24, 2015.

The people list originally made on January 7, 2015, and used from January 26, 2015, to April 22, 2015

The people list used from October 1, 2019, to January 24, 2020, with the usernames and icon being slightly shifted to the right.

The people list used starting January 24, 2020. It was originally implemented on December 11, 2019, and was quickly removed due to developer backlash. After lots of developer feedback to improve the UI, it was reimplemented on January 24, 2020. The word "Players" was replaced with "People" in May 2021.

On March 18, 2021, Users on mobile were seeing unusual randomly-placed icons on the people list on Users.
