Forum 34

Forum 34 was a hidden sub-forum that was created for unknown reasons. The official title of the sub-forum was "Official Announcements & Rules".^[1] Any user who posted on this sub-forum would typically have their thread locked and receive a ban, according to a post on the forum by mfsoccer94, who was a Roblox employee at the time. According to the same post, users were also disallowed to post links to the sub-forum or speak about the sub-forum elsewhere.^[2] The only way of accessing Forum 34 was by changing the Forum ID in the URL. It is speculated to have been created by the now-former administrator, MrDoomBringer, due to his posts not being deleted, and for being one of the few users who were not terminated after posting.

History[]

Numerous videos were created in 2010 to show proof of the sub-forum's existence. A number of snapshots of the sub-forum and a limited number of its threads were also captured and stored on the Internet Archive through 2009–2013.

Only one July 2009 archive of the sub-forum's front page was successful at preserving a snapshot of the page in the Internet Archive. All seventeen subsequent archiving attempts failed, including sixteen failed attempts between April 2011 and August 2011, resulting in page redirects.^[3] This may imply that the sub-forum's thread catalog was rendered completely inaccessible at some time between July 2009 and April 2011. However, at least one existing video of the sub-forum's thread catalog in 2010 suggests that it was not closed any time in 2009.^[4] Individual threads were still visible, at least for a time, as demonstrated by snapshots of these having been captured as late as May 2013.^[5]

Evading deletion[]

Despite several users receiving a permanent deletion when posting, a scarce amount of users managed to evade termination. Currently, the only user known is named 'Zeldafan237'. It is also unclear why the users were not terminated.
