A character model by the name fusedgirl[1] was one of the first redesign attempts of the Roblox avatar. Created sometime around early 2007, it was first seen publicly on the Roblox Blog in May 2007, and was designed by Mike Rayhawk.[2] Due to community outcry, it was scrapped.
History[]

A render of the fusedgirl model
In 2007, Roblox was looking for ways the player could customize their character. Hairs weren't around at the time, and all that was available were hats. They came up with a hairpiece, but didn't like how it looked on the traditional 1.0 Robloxian.[3] They commissioned Mike Rayhawk, who had previously designed Roblox Badge icons and early concepts for the website and characters, to make a new design for the player models. On May 8, 2007, a picture of the fusedgirl mesh was posted to the Roblox blog. However, the design was widely disliked by most users. Due to the outcry of Roblox players, the design was abandoned and left unused in the files. Today, each part of the mesh can also be found in the March 2007 Build of Roblox on GitHub, or be found as a single mesh by Roblox without the separate limbs.
