Abuse of duplication bug[]
On June 11, 2022, a bug was discovered in the experience that allowed the infinite duplication of the already-existing limiteds which were the Brown Gucci Blondie Bag 1.0 and its second version, the Brown Gucci Blondie Bag 3.0.
The abuse of the bug only worked if a player happened to have at least one badge that they could have received for completing the quests and then purchasing the Gucci Brown Blondie Bag. In total there were two badges, one for the 1.0 version and one for the 3.0 version. It worked when a player sold one of the bags on the Marketplace and also deleted the badge that corresponded to that version of the bag. Upon re-joining the experience, after meeting said criteria, the game would create an entire new copy of the already existing limited and give it to the player for free. The experience would also re-award the player with the badge that corresponded to the specific bag.
Users that took advantage of the bug with a premium subscription began to quickly sell the bags and repeat the bug. Many users were doing the glitch so rapidly that the game would only award new bags to users who joined higher ping servers. [citation needed] Within 30 minutes of the bug becoming publicized, the prices of both bags lowered to 200 Robux.
It took the developers around 6 hours to fix the issue, and by that point most of the users who abused the method had allegedly profited from 30K-100K Robux with the bug.[citation needed] The 1.0 version originally had 6,232 copies which rose to 27,640 copies after the glitch ended. The 3.0, likewise, had 6,347 copies which rose to 34,183 copies after the glitch had ended. It is not known if Roblox attempted to take any action against accounts that abused the bug.
