Egg Hunt 2022: Lost in Time is an unofficial Roblox egg hunt experience developed by Innovative Games. The experience released on March 13, 2022.

Development

Innovative Games announced Egg Hunt 2022: Lost in Time was in development on January 22, 2022, and teased a release in the following month alongside a trailer. The first two eggs, the Banana Egg and the Wasp Egg, were teased on the studio's social media account in the following days, before Innovative Games launched an interaction-based challenge to tease three additional eggs. The experience's development, as well as its social media challenge, were promoted by various star creators, including StarCode_RealKreek, SharkBL0X SharkBL0X is a notable creator or influencer verified by Roblox Corporation. On February 5, Innovative Games announced that the experience's release date would be pushed back to February 26 in order to improve the quality of the game. The game was further delayed to March 13 to de-stress the game's development team. On the day of the game's release, Innovation Studios announced a collaboration with the RoPro extension that would allow users to see the eggs obtained by each user in a separate menu. The game released on March 13, 2022.

Following the release of the game, Innovation Studios announced that the second world would release in April 2022. On June 3, 2022, Innovation Studios announced that World 2 would not be made public and that development on the game would cease.

Gameplay

In Egg Hunt 2022: Lost in Time, players hunt for 25 eggs, including 4 eggs that are spawned by certain users. Players start in a crystal cavern wherein a mysterious crystal has been discovered by Chris, the player's guide. Upon collecting the crystal, Hopper appears and unleashes a "great evil" that threatens the entire timeline of the game. Players must locate all of the eggs in the game to power an advanced device to stop Hopper's evil scheme and take back the timeline from chaos.

Bubba Egg	BUBBA WANTS CHOCCY EGG YES. FEED BUBBA. EGGO.	Hard	Locate Bubba, who will ask you to feed him wheat to calm him down. Gather the wheat from the farmer across the map and feed it to Bubba, who will complain that the wheat you fed him is not good enough and that you'll have to find better wheat. Complete the Lights Out puzzle on the door located on the other side of the map to access the cave containing the wheat Bubba desires. Return the wheat to Bubba, who will grant you this egg. Weregg	A howl at the dawn of night brings forth the frights of many wolves. AWOO!	Extreme	Contribute to defeating the Weregg boss, which spawns in a cave each night and has 5000 health. Fallen Star Egg	Quick, make a wish! This fallen star is sure to grant your dreams to come true.	Hard	Purchase a glider and locate the egg during the night. Egg of Wisdom	Hide in the dark no longer with this very specially-bright Lantern!	Hard	You must collect 3 pages. Get the quest from Niko at spawn. To locate the first page, go to Bubba's pen and walk to the left until you find a staircase. Climb the stairs. When the staircase ends, follow the path until you find another staircase. Climb the stairs. When you reach the top of the staircase, climb the blue tower. It will be on the roof. Go to the cave with the small obby where your adventure began. Go to the minecart tracks and go right, following them into the tunnel. You will find a room which you can walk into. The page will be there. For the third page, go back to the arena and enter the small tunnel next to the server kills board. The third page will be in there. Return to Niko and chat with him. Items

Really Big Net

Really Big Net is a helpful tool to use for hunting the Egg of the Deep. To buy one, players have to go hike and meet Marko, he sells one for 25 Tokens. When unequipped, the net will disappear but players can still buy the tool again from Marko.

Katana

A classic weapon great for slicing punny egg yolks!

Katana description

Katana is an attack weapon. It is useful to attack the Werewolf and other players in the PvP zone. Katana can be bought from Harry's shop with a cost of 250 Tokens.

It has a Sword Power bar with a minimum of 0% and a maximum of 100%, attacking with the maximum power results in 15 amount of damage, while attacking with minimum power results only one amount of damage.

Reception

Following the release, many players were confused as to whether the game was the official Roblox egg hunt. The game's description was later updated to reflect that this game is unofficial and does not award any marketplace items. The game quickly reached thousands of visits, receiving over 33,000 concurrent players at the time of the game's release. KreekCraft applauded the game's release, complementing it as the "best Roblox Egg Hunt since 2018" and "exactly what the community was asking for". SharkBL0X praised the egg's designs, arguing that they looked better than some of the eggs uploaded by Roblox in their official egg hunts.

As of April 14, 2022, the game has an 85 percent approval rating, with 15,900 likes and 2,750 dislikes.

Criticism

Some players have criticized the game's controls, calling them "sluggish" and "janky". Other players complained that it was difficult to navigate in the game, arguing that it was very easy to get lost in the game and complaining about the difficulty of finding certain objects needed to complete each egg quest.

Bugs and glitches

• Collecting an item while having speed boost results a reset to the player's walkspeed.
• Resetting the character, the head part will not collide on the ground and fall to the void.
• Holding planks makes the player refuse to go forward while swimming.
