Learn more. and RediblesQW with additional help by Ghostly_Wowzers and jasper_creations jasper_creations is a notable creator or influencer verified by Roblox Corporation. Learn more., released on August 10, 2022.[1] The game was published under the group LSPLASH . DOORS is currently on Floor 1 (Hotel) and Floor 2 (Mines) and has two subfloors: The Rooms, and The Backdoor.

Gameplay[]

DOORS is a first-person horror experience with the goal of reaching a certain number of doors depending on the floor while avoiding entities that will attempt to kill the player. Within the lobby, players can enter elevators in groups of up to 4. Progress is made by opening numbered doors to rooms to the following rooms until the final door. Most rooms are randomly generated, with a set of predetermined rooms appearing in a different order in every game. Rooms will comprise interactable furniture like shelves containing coins, items, keys, or nothing, as well as wardrobes and beds that allow players to hide from certain entities. Modifiers can be used on custom elevators which can be used to get more knobs and create new challenges.

Entities[]

The experience consists of main enemies called entities. Generally, entities try and act as an obstacle for the player with each varying in occurrence intended to jumpscare the player, which will play when the player interacts with, gets harmed, or killed by said entity.

Recurring Entities[]

Screech[]

UWU Little Monster

Screech's old model.

Screech jumpscares users in dark rooms if they don't look at it. One of the users attracted by Screech will be notified by a 'psst' sound and must find the Screech to scare it off, otherwise it will damage the user, inflicting 40 HP of damage. You can use a crucifix, just be very quick, otherwise the entity can leave before the item is used.

Hide[]

DOORS - Hide

Hide

Hide is an obscure entity hiding in both types hiding spots, closets and beds alike. It will attack you if you stay too much time in a hiding spot. The time you can spend hidden decreases as you open doors. In The Mines, Hide will stop the player from using the locker they used after they left, forcing the player to switch lockers with another. This only happens for that specific player who used the locker, so another player will be able to use that locker. Using a crucifix on Hide will work.

Rush[]

DOORS - Rush

Rush

Rush resembles a low contrast smiling face. It would go and zoom around the hotel and break the lights in each room it goes through. Its arrival is indicated by flickering the lights instantly or shortly after the door has opened, with its low-pitched screaming that gets louder as it gets closer. Any user caught within Rush's radius would be instantly killed. Crucifix may be used

Eyes[]

DOORS - Eyes

Eyes

The Eyes have a random chance of spawning every time the user enters a new room. It is a floating entity of purple smoke with 37 eyes. They rapidly take away the user's health if said user is viewing them. Crucifix may be used.

Halt[]

Halt Updated

Halt

Halt is an entity that represents a typical sheet ghost. It has blue glowing eyes, and would inhabit a dining hall. It appears after the light flickers, although the lights flick much longer than Rush. When the user enters the next room, they will be taken to a blue ambient ballroom. The objective is to get to the other side. The player will move forward, then a text saying "Turn back/around" will appear, then Halt will appear in front of the player and chase it back. The player has to go back until the the sign shows again. Keep doing this until you escape. Crucifix may be used.

Ambush[]

Ambush2

Ambush

Ambush functions in the same fashion to Rush, it flies through the rooms and the user must find a hiding spot before it passes by. However, Ambush glows green and pink instead of the black fog that Rush has. It also features a different scream and will rebound up and down the hallway a minimum of two times and maximum of six before disappearing. The lights also do not flicker to signal its arrival, meaning that the user must rely on sound only to state the arrival. Its easy to hear the sound, as it is like a rumbling and thunder sound combined, then it will come. Crucifix may be used.

Dupe[]

Dupe better

Dupe

Dupe is an entity that tricks the user by using fake doors, which are numbered incorrectly from the door the user previously entered. It would also scribble out the number of the door to confuse the user. It is not an instant kill unlike most of the other entities, and along with Screech, both deal damage overtime and will kill you if you can deplete to 0 health as you're damaged. Crucifix may be used.

Timothy[]

DOORS - Timothy

Timothy

Timothy is a spider that will rarely attack in containers the user opens (each opened container having a chance, jumping onto the user's face and taking 5% of their health. Timothy can also be found on a web in the lobby. Timothy is one of the four entities found in the lobby plus using crucifix on timothy will work.

Jack[]

DOORS - Jack

Jack

Jack has a chance to appear inside a wardrobe when trying to enter one, and very rarely it will spawn behind the door of a room ( chance). When spawning in a Wardrobe, Jack jumpscares the user without dealing any damage whatsoever.

Glitch[]

DOORS - Glitch

Glitch

Glitch is activated when the experience's room generation fails, or an unknown occurrence happens, for example if a user falls into the Void. It is much rarer than before the Hotel+ update, especially since Glitch's main purpose was replaced with Void in the Hotel+ update. It also used if user left behind if others left

Sally[]

Sally was originally a harmless entity that does not interact with the user in any way. She is a very rare occurrence and can occasionally be spotted when lightning strikes outside any of the small windows in any room. In the lobby, Sally can be formally found outside the Hotel in a "window" near the Backdoor Entrance, where she stays idly and does nothing else. Sally is one of the four entities found in the old lobby. Window can also be found after Seek Chase or so. On the Content Update, Sally was updated to be a common entity who interacts with players in some rooms, flickering the lights and entering through a window. Sally will then chase a player, and once caught up, will damage them. Sally will only stop when she finds an item, sitting on the ground playing with it.

Shadow[]

Shadow

Shadow

Shadow is a slightly transparent entity that appears randomly and has about a chance of spawning. It is a very minor jumpscare, only flickering the room it is present in.

Void[]

Void is an abstract entity that will teleport users that are left behind in a lobby of at least 2 people. It doesn't have an actual appearance, only its shade being present. When the previous rooms are unloaded, it'll teleport all users that are left behind to the users ahead, preventing them from falling off the experience.

It works similar to the Glitch from before the "Hotel+ update". It damages the user, although the amount it deals seems to be inconsistent or otherwise unknown.

Dread[]

Dread

Dread

Dread appears as a white and light blue bacteria-shaped entity that has a sponge-like texture. If a clock strikes midnight (takes 10 minutes or 7 if the player is wielding the alarm clock), Dread will begin chasing the players. In order to escape Dread, players either have to open the door to the next room or use the crucifix on Dread. If Dread catches up to a player, the player will be stunned and killed by Dread.

Snare[]

Snare

Snare

Snare appears as a greenish-brown grassy entity with holes hiding retractable spike-like growths looking like a circular dirt patch. It appears in The Greenhouse (doors 90-99 in The Hotel) and elsewhere with modifiers, and if a player steps on it, it will stun them for a few seconds while damaging them.

Guaranteed Entities[]

The following Entities are guaranteed to spawn throughout The Hotel.

Figure[]

DOORS - Figure

Figure

The Figure appears to be a monstrous humanoid entity with a ribcage sticking out of its column and its face being a mouth. It seems to have 18 sharp teeth. The Figure is guaranteed to spawn in doors 50 and 100. The Figure is blind and will use its hearing in order to track the user. Producing noise or being in close proximity with it will attract the Figure, encouraging the user to crouch and stay away from it. The user can escape from the Figure by hiding in a closet or crouching in a corner. If the Figure comes close to the closet that the user is hiding in, it will trigger a heartbeat minigame where the user has to time their heartbeat using either the Q and E keys or the left and right mouse buttons for desktop, LB and RB for controllers, or the left and right side of the screen for mobile. Failing this minigame will kill the user. Using a crucifix will not work as the entity will break free from it.

It is found a second time somewhere after room fifty, being 8 doors long. Seek makes everything fall down such as; bookshelves, closets, or couches. The first Seek chase has a very small chance of not happening, but the second chase will always happen. Using a crucifix will not work as the entity will break free from it.

NewGuidingLight

Guiding Light

The Guiding Light is an entity that resides in the Hotel and mines. Its main purpose is to help users by emitting a blue light in certain areas and doors. Although it does not have a physical appearance, the Guiding Light is capable of assisting the user with its glow, and its advice when the user dies.

  • You can get a booth in PLS DONATE if you tip Jeff until the jar is full for the first time.[2]
  • According to the developers, the entities were canonically named by the person the player represents. The entities do not have any actual names.
  • The experience attracted large crossover following among many Roblox communities, countries, and ages, with being considered the largest since Piggy in 2020. It even attracted new users (alongside Rainbow Friends, and Evade) to the platform in August 2022 and the return of some popular Roblox YouTubers to the platform.[3]
  • DOORS was a part of The Hunt: First Edition.
  • DOORS was originally invited to participate in The Classic but due to the entire development team currently working on Floor 2, LSPLASH decided to not make DOORS part of The Classic.
