Jackets are a type of Layered clothing that were released on March 1, 2022. They were first uploaded to the marketplace in June 2021 and were first available in January 2022 only for administrators.
They are categorized under "Tops" in the Inventory and under "Outerwear" in the Avatar Editor.

They are a clothing which varies in color and form and users wear in their torso.
History[]
In June 2021, Jackets were added to the marketplace API and the first Jackets were uploaded.
In January 2022, Roblox uploaded more jackets onto the Avatar Shop, this time for 1 Robux. An error message came up on purchase, however using the inspect element feature, the player could buy the clothing and could wear it in certain games, namely Natural Disaster Survival. They were eventually taken offsale, with the items of clothing being wiped from everyone's inventories since they were intended to only be bought by administrators.
Between March 1 and March 4, 2022, three waves of jackets were released to the marketplace by Roblox.[1][2]
On March 7, 2022, Roblox enabled approved UGC accessories creators to upload their own jackets.
