Shoes are a form of clothing which is be a part of the Layered clothing feature. It was an idea that was originally thought of in 2007, however they were never added. This all changed in June 2021 when they were added to the marketplace.

History[]
Shoes were originally going to be a feature which was thought of in 2007, but due to technical issues and modelling problems, they were ultimately scrapped.
In around 2017–2019, shoes could be seen in the Avatar Editor on Roblox Mobile, hinting to shoes becoming a feature one day.
In June 2021, Shoes were added to the Avatar Shop API. Prototype shoes have been added to the Avatar shop,
