The Memorial Day 2019 sale was a special sale on Roblox, preceded by Memorial Day 2018. Its purpose was to celebrate the federal holiday known as Memorial Day. It took place in the avatar shop from May 24, 2019 to May 27, 2019. Some items had their price cut and new items were released every day in 'waves' which occured continuously around every 2-4 hours from certain starting points. An official announcement for the sale was not released. 

Sale Timeline

Day 1

Wave 1

Day 1 started off with 2 new accessories released to the avatar shop, one of which had a timer:

• Crimson Periastron Crown - 1,000 Robux (5-hour timer)
• Buddy's Black Cap - 40 Robux

Wave 2

Two expensive accessories were discounted significantly:

• Sir Rich McMoneyston, III Disguise - 11,111 Robux → 8,888 Robux (20% off)
• Bluesteel Swordpack - 10,000 Robux → 5,000 Robux (50% off)

Wave 3

Two new hair accessories were released:

• Trendy Girl Pigtails - 50 Robux
• Enchanting Green Mohawk - 50 Robux

Wave 4

An individual new Rthro bundle was released:

• Blazeburner - 250 Robux

Wave 5

Two new accessories were released, one of which was timed:

• The Hematite Eye - 1,000 Robux (5-hour timer)
• Wizard's Tome of Spells Book Bag - 300 Robux

Wave 6

After a few more hours, the day ended with 2 new accessories released to the avatar shop:

• Kitsune Mask - 400 Robux
• Sinister Collar - 75 Robux

Day 2

Wave 1

To begin Day 2, Roblox released two new accessories to the avatar shop:

• Churro Swordpack of Endless Deliciousness - 250 Robux
• Dragon Leather Backpack - 700 Robux

Wave 2

Two more accessories came out:

• Octopus Cap - 150 Robux
• Pterodactyl Wings - 300 Robux

Wave 3

Two inexpensive accessories were released:

• Kamp Koala Summer Pal - 25 Robux
• Chillin' Shades - 10 Robux

Wave 4

Bighead was brought back on-sale along with an expensive BIG accessory:

• Bighead - 250 Robux (4-hour timer)
• BIG: Purple Banded Top Hat - 10,000 Robux (4-hour timer)

Wave 5

Day 2 ended with two new face accessories:

• Emerald Valk Shades - 2,000 Robux 
• Shark Mask - 100 Robux

Day 3

Wave 1

Day 3 begins with two accessories being released:

• Dragon Hatchling Backpack - 800 Robux
• Mushroom Bandolier - 25 Robux

Wave 2

Two new "Neon 90's" themed items were released:

• Neon 90's Shades - 90 Robux
• Neon 90's Headphones - 90 Robux

Wave 3

Two new items were released; another "Neon 90's" themed item and a tail:

• Neon 90's Frames - 90 Robux
• Hungry Dino Tail - 700 Robux (12-hour timer) 

Wave 4

The Workclock set was placed on sale:

• Workclock Headphones - 3,000 Robux (3-hour timer)
• Workclock Shades - 10,000 Robux (3-hour timer)

Wave 5

The day ends with two new accessories being released:

• Moon Cleric Headdress - 150 Robux
• Butterfly Antlers of Spring - 100 Robux

Day 4

Wave 1

The day starts with 3 new faces being released:

• Eita the Envious Youkai Face - 100 Robux (12-hour timer)
• Noriko the Gentle Youkai Face - 250 Robux (6-hour timer)
• Chichiri the Wise Youkai Face - 500 Robux (4-hour timer)

Wave 2

One new hat was released:

• Tiny Coronet Crown - 500 Robux

Wave 3

To end the sale, 2 new accessories were released:

• 8-Bit Crimson Horns of Pwnage - 700 Robux
• Cobalt Wolf Tail - 250 Robux

Criticism

This sale has sparked criticism in the community due to shorter timers than usual, long delays between waves, the lack of limited items, and very little classic items other than the Bighead and the Workclock set. In addition, the Emerald Valk Shades originally had a 12-hour timer, but due to an unknown reason the timer was removed and the item was kept available. It was later put off-sale. Compared to other sales, Roblox only released one expensive accessory for the Bighead, and for a short period of time it was mistakenly placed on a 4-hour rental. Many players in the community believe new limiteds will no longer be produced due to the colored face series this sale not being limited, whereas in other sales the colored face series usually starts off as LimitedU. A commonly requested item that didn't go back on-sale was the Frenemy.

• This is one of the only sales that hasn't sold any limiteds at all besides Labor Day 2019
