Robloxblog2006 — The blog's look from December 6, 2006, to c. April 1, 2008.

The Newsroom, (formerly known as the Community Blog,^[1] Roblox Developers' Journal,^[2] RoBlog and the Roblox Blog) is where Roblox staff post about important news, events, and community-related topics. It was launched on December 8, 2006.^[3] The blog can be found at corp.roblox.com/newsroom. Its original tagline was "Improving and empowering Robloxians", but after the introduction of Roblox's current logo, it was changed to "All the latest news direct from Roblox employees".

2012 blog split[]

Robloxcommunityblog — The Community blog from the 2012 blog split.

Between January 7, 2012,^[4] the blog was split into two blogs. The Roblox (then stylized as ROBLOX) Corporation blog was the newer blog, while the Community Blog was the older one. Eventually, on February 6, 2012,^[5] the blogs were merged into the Community blog, and then the Corporation blog on or before February. The Community blog used to be located at http://community.roblox.com, but this now redirects to the present day's blog. All pages from both blogs are now all found in the current blog's archives.

2022 post deletion[]

On August 30, 2022, all Roblox Blog posts from December 8, 2006 to March 16, 2021 were deleted for an unknown reason. It is unknown whether this is intentional or if this is a bug, though most pages still exist in the blog's archives. Some players viewed this as Roblox having a dislike for their past and trying to sanitize or hide it, as many blog posts before then were community-oriented but gave an unprofessional look.

2024 newsroom[]

Around August 10, 2024, blog.roblox.com would now redirect all users to the new Roblox Corporation newsroom. Before the redirect happened, several new blog posts would only be uploaded onto the newsroom instead of the blog, hinting at a new place for Roblox blogs.
