Off Topic (often shortened to OT) was one of four sub-forums of the Roblox Forums. It was intended to be a hub for off-topic posts and posts that did not fit any other sub-forum's rules. It had the second most posts on Roblox Forums, just behind Let's Make a Deal. It was also commonly considered the most toxic sub-forum, as well as the most controversial.
OT was merged with the Roblox Talk (RT) and All Things Roblox (ATR) sub-forums on July 27, 2017, to create the Roblox News & Discussion (RN&D) sub-forum, which sparked mass protests across the entire forum.
Controversy[]
The sub-forum was known widely as one of the most controversial sub-forums. Drama was very common, along with private pictures of OTers (people who used Off Topic) being leaked as well.
Forum Merge[]
On July 27, 2017, a forum merge occurred which merged/deleted numerous sub-forums off of the Roblox forums. This sparked mass protest on Off Topic especially, as there would no longer be a sub-forum for off topic posts. Many OTers moved to RN&D, however many simply quit as well, as they purely used Roblox to post on the Off Topic sub-forum.
