Official Skyboxes refers to Skyboxes that were uploaded by Roblox staff members which were widely used as a result, most notably referring to the three default skyboxes and skyboxes uploaded by John Shedletsky in 2007.
These skyboxes were far more prominently used than user uploaded ones, partially due to Decals being downscaled to 256x256 Pixels before 2014, while the staff uploaded Skyboxes were 512x512.
The last Official Skybox is to be in February 25, 2021.
