Orion Offensive, or OO, is a large clan on ROBLOX that was founded in July 2015, and lasted until September 2017. Although it was only around for a bit of time, it was one of the fastest growing groups, and also one of the most popular groups while it was around. Orion Offensive was founded by notcepS, huuds, yelm, and Exterity, It become a well known clan fairly quickly because of how fast it grew in members. Within a few months, the clan grew from being practically unknown to 40,000 members. It shutdown in September 2017 because the leaders had all decided to quit ROBLOX instead of finishing the clan's development.

History

The Founding

Orion Offensive was founded on 7/23/15. The founders, Exterity, S28TheGreat, Budgers and NotcepS, were all close friends who came from different clans and were looking to do something new. They brainstormed many ideas, and eventually settled on making a space themed clan and decided to base it off of the Orion's Guard hat, which, early on, was actually the group's official hat. By a couple months later, the group was well on its way to being out of development and were mass recruiting. After a couple weeks of just trainings and raids, the group entered their first war with a lesser known clan known as Arcane Insurgency, The conflict sparked when OO raided AI and were heavily admin abused by a high rank. Things became even worse when a dispute between huuds and Valoric arose. Later on, war was declared,  and AI accepted. They went on to surrender within a day. This was a big win for OO, not just because it was the first victory, but because it was a crushing defeat for the enemy, and one that some of the clan world had taken notice of.

After this war, the High Command of Orion Offensive decided they should find another target. The next war basically came to them, when an Orion Offensive High Rank, Allyrion, noticed that Orion Offensive members were being sent recruitment messages by a group known as Gallantry. Allyrion went to their base and told them to stop sending these recruitment messages, to which they laughed at him and told him to "do something about it". After this issue, Gallantry was at the top of the list when Orion Offensive needed a group to war. They raided them one day a couple weeks after the original incident and flawlessly won. Following this victory, Gallantry's appointed leader, Raidengale, asked OO for a war. Exterity accepted, and war began a couple days later. On the first day of the war, OO raided three times and won each raid. The next day, Raidengale admitted defeat and surrendered to OO, giving them another war victory.

Only a couple of days following this, OO entered war with The Clockwork Corporation. This was the group's most difficult war at the time. This war was chaotic right from the start. After OO won the first raid at TCC's base, TCC counter-raided OO's Rhodes. During this raid, a member of TCC was kicked by an OO high rank, and Clocksmith, TCC's leader, felt this was admin abused, and began threatning to claim a war victory. After OO won the lengthy defense, they tried to launch a second attack on TCC's base. However, during this raid, Clocksmith, who was still angry about the incident at Rhodes, began kicking OO members for ridiculous reasons, including multiple OO officers and then Senator (coleader) huuds. From there, OO lost interest in fighting TCC, as they felt that it was impossible to have a fair and fun war with them, and were scared that they would create additional problems. Following this, both sides claimed victory, but multiple months later, after tensions had cooled down, they agreed that it ended in a tie.

The Rise

By the time OO had warred TCC, they were beggining to get more and more recognition throughout the clan world, with some even recognizing them as a top 10 clan. However what should have been an exciting era for the group became a somewhat dull few weeks due to OO not finding any war targets. At the time, some were criticizing Exterity for his recent inactivity, and he agreed with them, saying that he was too inactive to lead the group at the moment. He decided that he would select a Senator to replace him. NotcepS was selected to be his replacement after the four cofounders decided he would be most fit to take the position.

During the reign of notcepS, not much changed within OO, but the group began to see a rise in activity due to conflicts with other groups. After Exterity returned as a Senate member, he decided that he needed to look harder for war targets, and declared war on the emerging clans of STRATUS and The Chivalrous Dominion (TCD), and also Fleetcom. Fleetcom declined the declaration, and so OO began two separate wars with STRATUS and TCD, defiantly winning both.

Halfway through these wars, OO decided to enter the REDFOR vs. BLUFOR conflict. This war began as a conflict between the Roblox Assault Team and The Robloxian Army, but both of these groups decided they would let other sides join in. The Robloxian Army, Vortex Security, Lortex Securit, The Clockwork Corporation and First Encounter Assault Reconwere on the Blufor side, and the Redfor side was made up of Roblox Assault Team, Orion Offensive, Alpha Authority, Nightfall Clan, RAA, and Sleet Clan. The war was filled with many issues, but after a long fight, the Redfor side achieved a 100-65 raid win victory. During the coalition war, notcepS decided to step down, and  Exterity decided to return to being leader of OO. After the war, OO was considered a top 3 clan, due to their impressive showing in the coalition war.

Following this war, Urban Assault Forces then declared war on OO, but the didn't happen because of negotiation issues regarding Stonecarve, UAF's base at the time. Although this war did not happen, a big rivalry between UAF and OO came out of it, one that has existed ever since. Later on, OO declared war on both UAF and RSF. UAF declined the war due to an ongoing conflict with The Chivalrous Dominion, but RSF accepted the war. OO won quickly and decisively, with a 12-0 final war score.

After the RSF conflict ended, OO took a break from wars to fix some internal problems. This break was short lived, as not long after, FEAR declared war on Orion Offensive. This war was thought of by many to be one that was going to be large, as FEAR had recently revived and was rallying numbers that were, at the time, even bigger to what OO was rallying (which was considered to be very active as well). This war was negotiated for a few weeks, but things were becoming very tense, and it was looking like the war was not going to happen. Soon after, FEAR pulled out of negotiations. Some hold this conflict against Orion Offensive, as they think that they lost the "pre-war", but this claim can be argued by the fact that the majority of FEAR's pre-war raids were losses, and OO won more of their attempts than FEAR did, and raided significantly less due to constant attacks by FEAR forces. There is also some controversy surrounding SONICTHEHEDGEHOGXX, FEAR's leader, allegedly hiring members of well-known gunfighter Paul321321's Socitule Forces to help him win raids at OO's Rhodes.

After the war with FEAR was considered to be a failure, Orion Offensive allied Sleet Clan, and wished to try to war FEAR again, but with their new ally. They declared war on FEAR, and FEAR's new ally, TCD. TCD accepted this war and was willing to negotiate, but FEAR felt OO was being cowardly (warring them with allies) even though FEAR were the ones who ended negotiations in the last war. After FEAR again denied OO's attempt, OO looked for another target in TRA, who also declined.

The Struggles

Due to constant war refusals from other clans, and the leaders of OO becoming busy, OO's activity began to decline. Exterity was inactive due to school obligations. Budgers and huuds were growing bored of ROBLOX. NotcepS had become more active in other groups. Newly appointed Senate member ForgedVoid was named the interim leader of OO, but he soon shocked the OO community when he decided to leave OO to join The Vaktovian Empire. With most of the High Command inactive, huuds decided to appoint OO Generals WizardlyShadow, Allyrion, and Hulkraz as temporary co-leaders of the group.

Although the group had leadership, it struggled with activity without it's original leaders present. Federation of Arcadia, led by DystraTala, declared war on them during this period. FoA did not know that OO had become increasingly inactive, and decided to rescind their war declaration.

Orion Offensive had fallen inactive, in perhaps it's worst state since it's founding. The group was left with one active Senate member, the newly appointed WizardlyShaadow. huuds and budgers had practically quit ROBLOX. The group was left to be led by WizardlyShadow and the remaining Successors (hulkraz and Allyrion). OO struggled at this time, but they had bright hopes as the coleaders had promised to return once Summer 2016 began.

As May ended, huuds and Exterity were becoming more active, and took action to restore activity to the group. Huuds promoted many new High Ranks and began to put reforms into place. Remaining High Ranks were also rewarded for their dedication, and in doing so, were given a reason to remain active. During this era, OO had went through a complete revival, and for a short period, they were even more active than they were in late 2015. OO was back, and was also ready for war. They accepted a war declared on them while they were inactive, which was declared by The Chivalrous Dominion (a past and frequent enemy), and The Nighthawk Imperium. Orion Offensive, showcasing their once again stellar activity and strength, were able to obtain multiple victories at both group's forts. However, the war did not happen due to negotiation issues. These issues came when TCD/TNI picked people who OO had issues with to negotiate war terms. Negotiating became very hostile, and the two clans were very hard to come to an agreement with. Due to this, the war failed.

The Decline

After not finding any wars once again, OO decided that they would focus on releasing new technology in an effort to rejuvinate as well as maintain exciment in the group. They began working on a new base, a new training center, as well as new guns and a new promotion system. They were not able to finish this technology, though, as Budgers (OO's head of technology) had dissapeared from ROBLOX due to serious family issues. He was not seen for 4 months, and the group was unable to make new technology, or fix budgers' old technology that had since become broken. Huuds was also forced to quit, and notcepS had retired from OO. In an attempt to revive the group, the remaining hicom decided to enter a 2v2 war with Arcerian Regime, against the duo of Tad's Cobras and the X-101st Legion. They decisively won the war, but it would mark OO's final war victory.

With many of the hicom retired, no functioning technology, and declining activity, Exterity decided to temporarily close the group until he could find a way to restore it. Shortly after, it was decided by Exterity that the group would move to a new group known as Orion Operatives. This decision was not very popular among group members, with many people choosing not to continue on in the new group.

The Shortlived Comeback

A few months later, huuds and budgers decided to return to ROBLOX, and they teamed up with Exterity to begin comeback efforts. Exterity gave the group to huuds, and OO released their new fort, Rhodes 2, and began conducting raids on other groups. They had regained some of their activity, and the clan world was excited about the idea of an OO comeback. Huuds and budgers decided that they would finish the technology that they had started before the group shutdown. This technology was nearly complete, and the two believed that it had the potential to shake the clan world. Budgers then became busy with school, and he eventually lost interest in returning to finish the project. With no way to finish the technology and not wanting to compromise with his plans, huuds begrudgingly decided to close the group once again, for the final time.
