Outlaster is an experience developed by Peak Precision Studios and released on October 9, 2020. It serves as a successor for their then previous game, Survivor, as a result of the previous game receiving a DMCA content violation on September 17, 2020.

The game follows the same format as Survivor, The game has updated chat graphics and the reward-per-day streak system with 3 rewards per login streak instead of 1 like most Roblox games.

Just like its predecessor, the game was based on the real life American reality TV series Survivor.

Gameplay[]

The game begins with ten players minimum or twenty players at the most. The game starts off in an island before players are eventually teleported off to a place where players may select their own leader for around two or three teams. Voting is done using a first-past-the-post system and the winners of the captains are chosen via a plurality. Once the contestants have voted for their captains, the captains may individually pick players to become members of their team. Afterwards, the players are then teleported to another island.

Players start off in teams competing in challenges with the sole purpose of winning immunity or safety. Teams that win a challenge are lucky as they do not have to do anything while teams that lose a challenge are unfortunate for they must vote off a member of their team to eliminate in the Tribal Council.

The process repeats until there is not enough players left in the server causing a phenomenon which is called a team merge, in a term merge, the teams are dissolved and players are now on their own.

Players that are eliminated may still be able to re-enter the game if: 1. If they defeat other eliminated players in the Redemption challenge or 2: If there is not enough players left for a Redemption challenge to commence, so they are automatically returned to the competition.

The process continues until there is 3 competitors left, at this point in the game, players are then sent to the Tribal Council to make their case on why they deserve to win the game towards the Jury, a group of people which is composed of eliminated players may vote on the person they wish to win the game.

If there is a tie during the elimination process, then there is automatically a runoff vote however the two contestants ties will be disenfranchised from the runoff vote. If there is still a tie, either the players will face each other off in a challenge or a player.

After the Jury has cast their votes, the remaining 3 players in the finale are sent to a stage where the host will read out the winners of bonus categories which are:

  1. Most Competitive - Win the most individual challenges
  2. Team Player - Win the most team challenges
  3. Most Dangerous - Have the most votes casted against
  4. Most Under-The-Radar - Have the least votes casted against
  5. Most Active - Have the most studs traveled out of everyone
  6. Most Observant - Find the most advantages
  7. Most Game-Changing - Nullify the most votes using either a Safety or Super Safety advantage
  8. Most Times Voted Correctly - Vote correctly the most (A "correct vote" is a vote against the person who is voted out

Some categories may be skipped if no player has met the requirements for them, the winner of Outlaster is decided by a plurality in the category wins combined with the jury votes. If there is a tie between two finalists, then the third finalist may select the winner.

Advantages[]

Advantages are special items in the game which give players powers during Elimination at the Tribal Council. Competitors may find advantages hidden in bushes and trees, competitors may also find scrolls randomly placed around the map which gives the player a compass leading to where the advantage is hidden, the player will need to use a shovel to dig up the advantage or hit something with a hammer, both of these items are provided for free at the camp.

Players may also spawn advantages in the map at the cost of some gems or one advantage for free provided that they have the Advantage Spawns! gamepass. All advantages are able to be spawned with the exception of the Safety advantage. Players may also give any competitor of their choice an advantage if they wish to do so.
