Periastron (series)

The Periastron series consists of futuristic sword gear with various colors and complementary themed accessories. They can be perceived as Roblox's version of lightsabers, and have unique abilities when used in game (e.g. on Catalog Heaven) along with passive visual effects (primarily Sparkles) active when held out. They instantly kill most enemies.

These swords are most often sold as limited unique with original prices ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 Robux. Excluding the Azure Periastron, all of these swords share a common descriptive phrase, starting with "The sword men use to fight [creature name] in space."

As of January 23, 2019, there are twelve Periastron swords in the marketplace, with ten being limited unique, one being a regular limited, and one being a broken limited unique. There are also four Periastron crowns, and two other Periastron-themed accessories.

Modernization

On January 11, 2019, Roblox updated all of the Periastron swords with new special abilities in-game that can be activated by pressing Q on the keyboard. along with making the non-seasonal line of Periastrons cause the player to strike a certain pose when one is equipped on their avatar enabled with R15. Although not much happened after.

These Periastrons have extra decorations to fit the season or holiday they were created for, and also have their own unique particle effects instead of Sparkles. They do not support the Mainline series and do not support Rainbow Periastron's passives in any way.
