Expedition Antarctica is a roleplay and obby Roblox experience created by Playduo Studio 
. The main goal is to get to the South Pole (1934 km) from the edges of Antarctica. The terrain, landmarks, animations and specs in the game are all highly coordinated. It usually has 4,000 to 5,000 people playing as of July 2024. Many explorer and expedition groups teamed with Playduo to create the game.[citation needed]
Gameplay[]
People start as explorers, and the rank Beginner. From the base camp, where there are all the supplies needed for your expedition, the dock, and expedition team tents, you travel to Camp 1, then to Camp 2, then Camp 3 and from Camp 3, you reach the final camp, Camp 4. In the new update, there are now boats, personalized clothes, coins and a few changes to the path to the pole. You can earn coins as a daily reward, reaching camps, reaching specific landmarks, and by reaching the South Pole. In the base camp, you can find energy bars to fill up your energy level, a water fountain to fill up your water bottle (which can be used to raise your water level), and some cosmetic gear that can prove useful on your expedition. Players will have to navigate ladders, icy bridges, glaciers, mountains, and deep drops.
Difficulties[]
The difficulty of the game can be toggled between 4 different modes. These modes are Easy, Medium, Hard, and Legend, respectively. Harder modes will reduce the jump height and length, make your need bars go down faster, and increase damage taken.
Exclusives[]
There are a number of gamepasses available to enhance the game experience such as Storm Goggles, which improve visibility in storms, and VIP, which boasts exclusive outfits, and more. Another way to enjoy the game more is the ability to join a expedition group. In order to join one, you must look under the affiliates tab of the games group, Playduo Studio. You can find quite a few different groups with their own set of customized gear in game, their own tent at the base camp and each checkpoint camp, and more.
Flags[]
In Expedition Antarctica, You gain flags by successfully completing expeditions to the South Pole. There are Flag levels you get based on how many expeditions you have.
