Nikilis is a Canadian-Polish[1] Roblox developer most notable for a version of Immi's Trucking Tycoon and Murder Mystery 2, the later of which became one of the most popular experiences on the platform only weeks after its creation, and has been over a decade after its inception.
Places[]
Nikilis has created many places, of which only Murder Mystery and Murder Mystery 2 have gotten popular. The former is incredibly similar to the released sequel of Murder Mystery 2, but it has been replaced with the sequel as of 2015.
Trucking Tycoon[]
Trucking Tycoon rose to fame in September 2013 as a collaborative effort between Nikilis and his friends, but started out from Zephyred's own experience which Nikilis had took from, but had his permission to fix it up. Later on, Zephyred updated his experience, to make a cleaner version of it. The experience holds over 1.3 million visits and 34,000 favorites. It was on the Top-Earning section of the Charts page (when it used to be called Games) since its inception, but has fallen off the front page in favor of Nikilis' newer experience, 'Murder Mystery 2'. A fan community exists for the experience, which is run by Nikilis.
Epic Building[]
Epic Building is an experimental building experience created shortly after Trucking Tycoon. At launch, the experience did not become as popular as his other creation. It was later closed, due to it not receiving much visits.
Murder Mystery[]
Weeks after its launch on January 19, 2014, Murder Mystery was a success, earning 8.3 million visits in just 80 days. The experience has constantly remained in the Most Played and Top-Earning sections since its creation, and is notable for being very addicting to many. Murder Mystery's fame dropped due to it, with some fans of the experience deciding to still play. In Late December 2014, Nikilis updated Murder Mystery, creating a new version with an improved lobby. Nikilis also added Emotes to the experience. Nikilis's Murder Mystery experience became so popular that it prompted Roblox to interview Nikilis [2] and made Maxxz create a Game Review about the place.
After Murder Mystery 2's success, similar experiences were created (such as "Twisted Murderer" by "taymaster") which implemented the same ideas and gameplay made by loleris and Nikilis.
Murder Mystery 2[]
Murder Mystery 2 is one of the most popular experiences with the murder theme. As of October 25, 2025, it has over 22.4 billion visits and 20.7 million favorites.
Player Count History[]
For the first month of Murder Mystery 2, it got around 1k players and around 150k visits per day. Later, MM2's fame dropped making it become 500-600 players per day and around 80k visits per day. When Nikilis updated it, it would get 1k players for a few days, then it would drop. Throughout the summer of 2015, MM2 was broken, and it only got about 20 players per day. Nikilis finally fixed it and it got 500-600 players like it used to and 10k-20k visits per week. In 2016, MM2's player count started to rise up as several big YouTubers started making videos on the experience. At the end of 2016, MM2's player count was around 8k to 10k players and it stayed that way until in May 25th, 2019, Season 1 was released and broke a record of 65k players. MM2 got around 40k-70k players since season 1 in 2019 however, on October 26th, 2020, Nikilis released the Halloween update that made MM2 hit 111.2k players. As of August 25th, 2023, Murder Mystery 2 consistently reaches over 150k concurrent players every day.
