Not to be confused with Leaderboard.

The new and current player list as of January 2020.

The player list is an in-game GUI which lists all of the players which are currently in the server, in alphabetical order (or, if the player list has a leaderboard, the player list would display the players' names from the highest value of the leaderboard's first column to the lowest value of the same column). Players can hide the player list by clicking on their username on the top right corner or by pressing the Tab key. Players can also send friend requests and report players via the player list.

There is a Lua asset created by Roblox which contains code for the player list used for 29th of August, 2014.

Builders Club

An example of a user with the BC icon.

If a player had a Builders Club membership, a BC, TBC, or OBC symbol would appear beside their username, depending on what membership they have (formerly yellow, orange, and black hard hats respectively, previously various-colored arrows between two brackets, one blue arrow for a BC member, two yellow arrows for a TBC member, and three orange arrows for an OBC member). This no longer exists due to Premium replacing Builders Club.

Place Owner

If the creator of the place joins their game, a ribbon would appear beside their username (if the player has a Premium membership or is a staff member, the ribbon will still appear). This was changed to a white version of the Roblox Studio icon for one day and was reverted for unknown reasons but was eventually reused.

If a staff member joins a server, the Roblox "R" logo will appear beside their username (if the player has a Builders Club membership, it will still appear). As of January 10, 2017, a white tilted "O" in the Roblox logo (formerly the "R" in the Roblox logo) currently appears as the administrator symbol.

Star Program

An example of a star creator, in this case Conor3D, who has the Star icon in 2020.

An example with someone with the Roblox Premium logo.

If a YouTube celebrity, or what it is commonly known as a YouTuber, who is part of the Roblox Video Stars Program enters a game, a star will appear beside their username. One example is Conor3D.[1]

If a Roblox developer that is interning at Roblox joins a server, a graduation cap icon will appear beside their username. There are some public YouTube videos of meeting interns such as alexnewtron and Merely[2] in which the user can see the intern player list icons.

If a player has a premium subscription, a white square with a "P" inside icon will appear next to their username.

Localization Expert

Members of the Localization Expert groups get a white globe next to their name in the playerlist. These groups are currently unused and are all 'WIP'. The icon is only accessible to members of this group in rank 252 or higher (Team Manager).[3]

Currently, there are four users with unique in-game player list icons. These are:

When the January 2020 player list was implemented, people could easily bypass this and get the old player list by using the Windows Store version of Roblox. This was patched about a month later.
