The Roblox Wiki is a wiki whose primary topic encapsulates Roblox, its community developers, games, catalog items, and other content related to it. The wiki is a community of Roblox fans and wiki editors alike whose goal is to document all facets of Roblox.

Wiki History

• December 9, 2019 - The previous forum is disabled by Fandom staff.
• December 5, 2019 - The wiki-style forums at Forum:Index are brought back due to global changes on Fandom requiring the removal of the current forum.
• October 25, 2019 - New notability criteria is added, making many more users notable.
• October 11, 2019 - The home page is restructured, using concept ideas from Bluerock.
• September 28, 2019 - A new command is created for the Roblox Wiki Bot allowing page creation with some auto-filled parameters (using Roblox endpoints)
• September 18, 2019 - Bluerock joins as wiki manager, replacing PsiSeveredHead due to inactivity.
• September 1, 2019 - The Highlight extension from the developer wiki is added.
• August 19, 2019 - Edit notices are added to place and player pages.
• July 29, 2019 - CSS was added to make dropdowns and arrows have a linear animation.
• June 1, 2019 - List of credible sources is created, outlining exactly what sources are allowed to support information. Additionally, PsiSeveredHead joins the wiki as the initial wiki manager.
• April 1, 2019 - The Roblox Wikia discord server's icon is changed to Thundermaker300's old icon. Additionally, the server is renamed to "Thundermaker300 Wikia" and a new channel, #talk-about-thundermaker300, is created.
• October 23, 2018 - The staff page is created.
• July 18, 2018 - Anzu-TLK (Karasuneth) is given administrative rights by Mark Otaris.
• October 19, 2017 - The Chat feature is disabled by Acebatonfan due to the addition of the discord.
• September 24, 2017 - Ajedi32 removes Dronian's administrative rights due to inactivity.
• July 1, 2017 - Thundermaker300 is given the ROBLOX Wikia group created in 2015.
• June 4, 2017 - The Roblox Wikia discord server is created by Thundermaker300.
• October 8, 2016 - Thundermaker300 is given administrative rights by Mark Otaris.
• February 24, 2015 - The ROBLOX Wikia group is created by The JoTS to prevent anyone else from getting the group name.
• August 11, 2014 - PeterPeter5000 steps down as administrator.
• December 2, 2013 - Mark Otaris is given bureaucrat rights by PeterPeter5000
• October 19, 2013 - PeterPeter5000 removes Tiff or Nick's administrative rights due to inactivity.
• July 14, 2013 - Tiff or Nick is given administrative rights by PeterPeter5000.
• March 9, 2013 - PeterPeter5000 removes XiaoXiaoMan's administrative rights due to inactivity.
• March 1, 2013 - Mark Otaris is given administrative rights by PeterPeter5000.
• February 19, 2013 - Colgatecity moves to his new account, PeterPeter5000.
• June 17, 2012 - XiaoXiaoMan is given administrative rights by Colgatecity
• April 1, 2012 - Dronian is demoted by Colgatecity, supposedly, "That april fools joke went too far." He was then given rights again a few minutes later.
• January 17, 2012 - Colgatecity is given bureaucrat rights by Ajedi32.
• October 27, 2011 - Dronian is given administrative rights by Ajedi32.
• June 18, 2011 - Colgatecity is given administrative rights by Ajedi32.
• February 3, 2010 - Ajedi32 is given bureaucrat rights by Wikia Staff.
• November 30, 2009 - Ajedi32 is given administrative rights by Wikia Staff.
• November 5, 2007 - The wikia is created by Leira77.

History of the Roblox Wikia

The following is a created account by current wiki administrators whose introductory histories on the wiki range from 2011 to 2015. This information may not be 100% accurate and is incomplete.

2007-2011: Founding & Adoption

Originally named the ROBLOX Wiki, the wiki was founded in November 2007 by Leira77 and was promptly abandoned. The wiki, in a state of disrepair, was later adopted by Ajedi32 in 2010 where it was "resurrected" and may be attributed as a new start for the wiki.

2012: The ROBLOX Wikia

The wiki leadership has switched hands many times over its history, first in 2010, and again in 2012 would start a transition to switch hands over to Colgatecity (AKA PeterPeter5000). As the leadership transitioned, the wiki transitioned itself and was officially renamed to ROBLOX Wikia, a moniker already adopted by its community of editors to differentiate it from the official ROBLOX Wiki hosted by Roblox (today's Roblox Developer Wiki). The year of 2012 can be bookended with the wiki's first and only appearance in the Official Roblox Blog, which can be credited as the introduction to the wiki for many new editors.
