Roblox Easter Egg Hunt 2015

Roblox Easter Egg Hunt 2015 was the sixth annual Egg Hunt on Roblox. Unlike all the previous egg hunts on Roblox, this event was held within developer games. It was revealed in a tweet by Brighteyes that stated "The Egg Hunt will be fun and will be hosted in some top ROBLOX games! Get excited!".

A blog post was posted by Brighteyes00 explaining the Egg Hunt.

The games involved in the 2015 Egg Hunt were Ripull Minigames, Super Bomb Survival, and Twisted Murderer. This was the second time Super Bomb Survival has held a Roblox event (the first time was BLOXgiving 2014) and the first times that Ripull Minigames and Twisted Murderer have held an event.

This event can commonly be referred to as the "Dev Hunt" or "Roblox DevHunt 2015" due to the Egg Hunt being held in "RBXDev" member games only.

Eggs

There were twenty-two eggs total. Each game had five exclusive eggs, and six eggs appeared in all three games. Unlike in previous years, there were no faberge eggs, no eggs would hatch and no eggs would go on sale after the hunt was over.^{⁠[citation needed]}

Super Bomb Survival

Egg of Golden Riches		Players had to wait for a coin bomb to explode for a chance of the Egg of Golden Riches appearing. Once collected, the player would get the egg and fifteen in-game credits.
Scramblin' Egg of Teleporting		Players had to collect this egg before it teleported away when it uncommonly appeared during a round.
Last Egg Standing		Players had to collect this egg when it very rarely appeared during the last thirty seconds of a round. If there was only one player left the chances of it appearing would be higher.
Bird Egg		Players had to avoid the eggs it shot out and wait for it to land so they could collect it during a round.
Sharing Egg of Gifting		Players had to have another player who found this egg give it to them when it uncommonly appeared during a round.
Beehive Egg of Infinite Stings		Players had to avoid the bees and collect it when it uncommonly appeared during a round.
Racin' Egg of Fast Cars		Players had to chase after this egg to collect it when it commonly appeared during a round.
Admin Egg of Mischief		Players had to find another player who was wearing the Admin Bunny Ears of Mischief and get them to summon this egg.

Ripull Minigames

The Cloud Egg		Players had to get on top of the minigame arena in the lobby, by jumping on the yellow bouncy pad on-top of the tower of pads, and collect egg before it quickly teleported to another area on top of the minigame arena.
Thundering Egg of Lightning Strikes		Players had to climb the grey tower in the lobby and jump on the flag on the side of it so they got shot up into the sky. Then they had to land on the roof of the tower and avoid the lightning the egg shot out so they could reach and collect it.
Eggsplosive Bomb Egg		Players had to collect this egg when it flashed black when it commonly appeared in the lobby. The player would explode if they touched the egg when it flashed red and a Cracked Egg would appear.
Cracked Egg		Players first had to find an Eggsplosive Bomb Egg in the lobby and touch it when it flashed red so they could explode their self. This caused a Cracked Egg to appear. The player then had to quickly make their way back to where they died to collect the egg before it despawned.
Egg of Golden Achievement		Players first had to find a crown that appeared randomly in the lobby. Then they had to bring the crown to the Egg of Golden Achievement, on top one of the mountains in a corner of the lobby, to collect it.
Hipster Egg of Retro		Players first had to wear a hat from 2008 or earlier. Then they had to collect this egg in a cave.
Bird Egg		Players had to avoid the eggs it shot out and wait for it to land so they could collect it in the lobby on one of the mountains.
Racin' Egg of Fast Cars		Players had to chase after this egg to collect it when it rarely appeared in the lobby.
Beehive Egg of Infinite Stings		Players had climb the giant tree in the lobby and collect the egg at the top.
Sharing Egg of Gifting		Players had to have another player who found this egg give it to them when it commonly appeared in the houses in the lobby.
Admin Egg of Mischief		Players had to find another player who was wearing the Admin Bunny Ears of Mischief and get them to summon this egg.

Twisted Murderer

Phantom of the Egg		Players had to collect this egg when it dropped very infrequently (4% or 1 in 25 chance) from the murderer when they were killed on the Movie Theater map.
Fancy Egg of Fabulous		Players had to play the song ID 191819419 on the radio in the lobby to get this egg.
Hipster Egg of Retro		Players first had to wear a hat from 2008 or earlier. Then they had to collect this egg when it uncommonly appeared during a round.
Bird Egg		Players had to avoid the eggs it shot out and wait for it to land so they could collect it during a round.

Criticism

Developers — Brighteyes announcing the 2015 Egg Hunt

Like its predecessor, the event was largely critically panned by the Roblox community. Shortly after the tweet announcing the Egg Hunt was posted, many users voiced their disappointment about the Egg Hunt being held in popular developer's games. Up until this point, an exclusive egg hunt place was held in a game created by the Roblox developers. Because of this change of pace, much of the community refers to the 2015 Egg Hunt as "Dev Hunt 2015". The criticism led to Brighteyes blocking the game developer CloneTrooper1019. Users also criticized The Gigantic Tome of Eggs gear for being buggy and a waste of Robux.

Reception to Ripull Minigames was generally positive. Users commended Ripull for styling his game as a "classic egg hunt", as well as building an entirely new map to hunt the eggs in. However, reception to Twisted Murderer was overwhelmingly negative. Users hammered Taymaster for almost all of the game-specific eggs. The Phantom of the Egg received the most negative attention. It was criticized for being too rare, this was due to the specified map it dropped on being randomly selected every couple rounds, the egg requiring you to kill another player and the egg itself having a 4% (1 in 25) drop chance.
