The Spring 2020 Avatar Design Contest was an avatar designing contest which began on March 31, 2020, and ended on May 14, 2020. The contest was first announced on a blog post.

Entrance Procedure

In order to enter users had to make a place with a Smooth Terrain. Users had to design an Rthro bundle they would like to see on the Avatar Shop and illustrate it using 2D or 3D modeling software. Afterwards users had to turn their design into an image file and follow @Roblox on Twitter and then reply to a tweet with the hashtag #AvatarDesignContest.

Judgment Criteria

According to a Roblox blog post, winners were chosen based on the following criteria:

• Originality: Does your entry exhibit a style or aesthetic that's currently not available on Roblox?
• Appeal: Does your entry fit the fun and imaginative personality of Roblox?
• Creativity: How unique or creative is your entry?

On May 14, 2020, the winners were announced in a blog post and in a video.
