Evaluated by User:Another10101 (talk)
  • Meets Start-Class: ✓ Yes
  • C1 / OVERVIEW: ✓ Yes
  • C2 / COVERAGE: ✓ Yes
  • C3 / STRUCTURED: No No – External links should be located before references, not after. Otherwise good
  • C4 / NEUTRAL: ✓ Yes
  • B1 / CITED: No No – Citations needed for “unknown users found a Luobu agreement endpoint page that functioned on the Roblox website” (this was also shown in the article) and citations needed for the Cobalt Valley section (although I don’t think this section should be in the Luobu page as stated later)
  • B2 / COMPREHENSIVE: No No – Omissions of future Luobu events in the History section, as well as the process of shutdown in the History section (this was explained a little in the lead section)
  • B3 / READABLE: No No – The “Background and founding” section was taken from an actual news article, and as such isn’t in an encyclopedic tone and often explains what Roblox is (which isn’t in this article’s scope). “This potentially showed that Roblox either gave up on the project, on which much time had been spent, or they had other plans for Luobu” is a run on which continues past this quote. Otherwise good
  • B4 / FOCUSED: No No – “This potentially showed that Roblox either gave up…” is theorizing and isn’t encyclopedic. The whole Cobalt Valley RP section doesn’t seem very related to the general topic of Luobu, which is specifying a non-linked game, and should be moved to its own page.

This is just stupid how Roblox is banned in China. I still don't get the reason. Who agrees? MatthewHou081113 (talk) 22:16, 28 November 2020 (UTC)

Honestly I just have to love the parachute feature. Mornelouwdaddy (talk) 12:18, 15 July 2021 (UTC)

Considering moving it to just "Roblox China"[]

Roblox and Tencent doesn't officially mention "Roblox in China", only just "Luobo" or "Roblox China", moving it to "Roblox China" would be a better name for this article. Who agrees? 1Remini (talk) 02:21, 2 August 2021 (UTC)

I agree. HaiFire3344 (talk) 17:30, 3 August 2021 (UTC)

Wasn't Roblox allied with Tencent to launch it in China before? I also don't like the idea of Robux not being usable on the avatar shop and these Robloxian-formatted names, it makes all Luobu players similar to each other in appearance. China has WAYYYYYYY different rules then other countries —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mario2399 (talk · contributions).

I agree! I've heard they reject games that have ONLY ONE single bit of English. Gagarsa 05 (TALK PAGE | CC TALK PAGE | CONTRIBUTIONS) 23:15, 9 August 2021 (UTC)

Creating a separate article for Tencent[]

I believe Tencent should have their own article on this wiki, just as Roblox Corporation does, since Tencent Interactive Entertainment Group/Tencent Holdings Ltd. now has a connection to Roblox because of LuoBu. Both Roblox and Tencent are the publishers of Roblox China. The article for Tencent could use information and images from both this article (Roblox China) and the Wikipedia article about Tencent without being too long. Good idea, maybe I should create a draft on my sandbox. Gagarsa 05 (TALK PAGE | CC TALK PAGE | CONTRIBUTIONS) 00:45, 20 August 2021 (UTC)

Slight Edit[]

Since ROBLOX China is no longer active for the time being, I have decided to change Roblox China IS the mainland...[] to Roblox China WAS the mainland.. []

Wtf, Luobu[]

It’s not even Roblox it’s just Coding. Plus, why cant we even spend robux on the avatar shop?

I used Luobu once cause I was in China cause my family is Chinese, and then it just was like, “bruh”. Luobu is like jail, but in china, cause all your freedoms in roblox are taken away.

I cant even understand half the things written on the app.

The Cause and Process of ROBLOX's Ban in China[]

As a ROBLOX Chinese player, I am very clear about what happened

In 2019, Tencent collaborated with ROBLOX, but no players paid attention to it

At the beginning of 2020, Luobu began its first beta testing. In May, ROBLOX was taken down from the APP Store and other app stores in China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions)

On July 25, 2020, Tencent implemented a lockdown on ROBLOX. At that time, ROBLOX could not be used without a game accelerator or VPN, and the website could not be accessed (it would be redirected to roblox. qq.com). Tencent reset the passwords of some users who had not bound their email and phone numbers, and publicly claimed that they were unaware (it had been four months since the lockdown)

In July 2021, Luobu was released on the App Store (said to be a full platform release, but only for mobile devices)

In December 2021, Luobu deleted the file and closed the server, but the lock zone is still ongoing
