The Hunt: Mega Edition was an event and a sequel to its predecessor, The Hunt: First Edition. It began on March 13, 2025 and ended on April1111

, 2025.

The Hunt: Mega Edition included 25 participating experiences, along with a central hub to access prizes and daily exclusive items. The event also included an in-person, live streamed competition element that occurred on April 4, 2025. The competition, dubbed "The Hunt: Mega Final", saw the first 10 eligible winning players battling across eight different Roblox experiences to take home the grand prize.

The grand prize for The Hunt: Mega Edition was $1,000,000 - given to the winning player of The Hunt: Mega Final. Additionally, the first 50 players that completed the event received a unique Roblox accessory.

History

On February 25, 2025, the official Roblox X (formerly Twitter) account shared a message: "ivory pet hen but hate? skier to." The post was removed seven hours later, but was subsequently decrypted to reveal the message: "Think you are the best? Prove it."

On February 26, 2025, another post was made, stating, "It's not just about what you know, but what you're willing to see," which was taken down after 1 hour.

On February 28, 2025, the initial official teaser for The Hunt: Mega Edition was released, confirming the event's name and official release date. Additionally, the teaser provided clues regarding the winner's prize, which is set at "285,714,286 Robux", equivalent to $1,000,000 upon DevEx conversion.

On March 1, 2025, the Roblox X account shared a sequence of goat emojis: "🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐," but this post was also deleted within 1 hour.

On March 4, 2025, David Baszucki's account responded to the initial teaser for The Hunt: Mega Edition with a quote: "Thinking about how we'll reward the winner..." He later quoted this post, adding the word "thinking" accompanied by an image of a briefcase illuminated from within. He later shared an image from Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery featuring the character Dr. Evil, which included the line "One Million Dollars".

On March 5, 2025, Roblox released the second official teaser, prize announcement, and hub reveal for The Hunt: Mega Edition, featuring the caption: "A battle for one million dollars. Do you have the brains, skills and speed to win? Prove it."

On March 7, 2025, Roblox released a video featuring a low-pitched incomprehensible voice recording. When the video is converted in reverse, the voice states, "Daisy is never just a daisy."

On March 12, 2025, Roblox shared a message accompanied by an image and the caption: "Meet your first clue. You’ve only got 24 hours until The Hunt: Mega Edition begins." The image contained the phrase, "I've a nap pileup in wholeheartedness", which was later decrypted to reveal the message: "Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?".

As The Hunt: Mega Edition

On March 14, 2025, Roblox released the "Orb Zone" along with Mega Tokens from SpongeBob Tower Defense, untitled tag game, and Pressure. Additionally, there is a puzzle that involves moving a blue block to a designated green area. One day later, "Block Zone" was released with Mega Tokens from Chained, RIVALS, Clip It, and World // Zero. Additionally, there is a puzzle that involves moving blocks to designated areas.

On March 18, 2025, "Tile Zone" was released with Mega Tokens from a dusty trip, Infection Gunfight, Basketball Legends, Metro Life, and Hell's Kitchen. In the zone, there is a puzzle that involves sliding a puzzle piece until the puzzle is successfully completed to show the image of the main hub area for The Hunt: Mega Edition. "Beam Zone" was also released one day later with Arsenal, Natural Disaster Survival, Eat the World, Car Crushers 2, Blade League, and Bayside High School getting their own Mega Tokens. Additionally, there is a puzzle that involves reflecting a light beam from a triangular light source until the beam reaches the final destination.

"Shape Zone" was released as the fifth and last zone in the event on March 21, 2025 with the last Mega Tokens from Regretevator, Tower Defense Simulator, Pet Simulator 99, Drive World, untitled boxing game, IT GIRL, and Fisch. In the zone there is a puzzle that involves fitting uniquely shaped blocks into corresponding shaped holes, requiring the player to match the shape of the hole with the appropriate block. After completing the puzzle, the player will unlock the "Mega Zone", where they can claim two accessories, Diadem of Resurgence for free and Arcs of Resurgence for 1,000 Robux.

Hub

The central hub of the event, aptly named "The Hunt: Mega Edition," acts as the main control center for participants. Here, players can keep track of their collected Regular and Mega Tokens, as well as check how much time remains in the event. The hub also provides access to multiple zones—Orb Zone, Block Zone, Tile Zone, Beam Zone, and Shape Zone—each requiring Mega Tokens to unlock.

Participants can claim rewards from two separate progression tracks, one for each type of token. Additionally, a new limited-time item appears daily on the right side of the screen, available for purchase with Robux. The hub was opened to the public six days before the official start of the event.

Then, go to the Flying Dutchman's ship and talk with the Flying Dutchman, who unlocks a maze in the ship's basement. Solve the maze and complete the Captain's Quarters map, afterwards returning to the event map and entering Bikini Bottom's Uncharted Cave and use an emote or say "/e dance" on a glowing pedestal.
containment breach		untitled tag game	Access the portal, which teleports you to a detention facility resembling the "Loyalty Centers" from the Ready Player One movie. Use the drone to break yourself out of your chamber and escape to the facility's power center. Complete the obbies to deactivate all power sources, causing the reactor to fail, and then exit the building.
Take My Hand		Pressure	Locate and write down the numbers on sticky notes hidden around the map. Enter the event map and take a left after leaving the submarine to enter a room with a numpad door, where you should enter the numbers to access a specialized walkie-talkie. Using this device, obtain the decrypted codes after re-tuning the radios in rooms 33, 28, 19, 10, and 6; then proceed to the designated door and use the decrypted codes to access the subway system. Once inside the train, head to The Vault to collect 30 shards in under ten minutes while avoiding hostilities.
The Unmoving Gaze		Chained	Requires the "Block Zone Unlocked" badge from the Hub. Jump into the light blue eye of the moai and complete the entire map with a teammate.
Mission Accomplished!		RIVALS	At the shooting range, shoot at the X target until you hear a loud buzzer noise, which indicates that a door to the Shady Chicken's secret area has opened. After entering the secret area and obtaining a new quest from the Shady Chicken, participate in a 3v3 round to earn 15 blueprints. Then speak with the Shady Chicken, who will present the player to defeat a boss from one of the two teams: Nosniy Inc. or Sensei & Co.
Classic Explorer		Clip It	Gather all of the golden cameras from five designated areas while wearing their specific accessories.
Nullseeker		World // Zero	Collect all three gems located in Crescent Cove, the first world in World // Zero. Once all the gems are collected, proceed to the cave adjacent to the ruins to complete the puzzle inside and defeat the boss inside of the puzzle's portal.
The Beginning of Everything		a dusty trip	Requires the "Tile Zone Unlocked" badge from the Hub. Go to an obby at approximately 250 meters away from the player's spawn location. Carefully handle all of the batteries located around the obby—they will explode and knock the player back if they are held for too long—and place them all at a pedestal located at the top of the course to create a portal. Enter the portal and defeat the boss.
Zombie Hunter		Infection Gunfight	Locate a pair of goggles and then shoot or infect player until you get enough letters to spell the word "MEGA". Getting any letters that are not in the word will require you to reset your progress. Before the quest was nerfed, players had to spell the phrase "MEGAHUNT" using the letters, and a major bug caused every player in the server to lose their progress until they left the server once another player got the Mega Token.
Sharpshooter		Basketball Legends	Pull the lever in the Hall of Fame and identify the shapes and numbers on the map. In the practice area, score three-pointers in a specified sequence while standing on the specified shape, which will teleport you to a boss fight. Achieve a higher score than the NPC's team to obtain the Token.
METRO SEEKER		Metro Life	Gather all the map pieces by completing the quest, locate all the map clues without using teleportation, and then enter the corresponding numbers into the vault buried near FreshBites.
Gordon's Elite Chef		Hell's Kitchen	Record the light pattern located above the dining area during a round, then enter the light pattern into a set of 16 televisions located in the kitchen's basement. Then, complete an obstacle course and collect four recipe scraps hidden around the lobby and kitchen, which will be used to to prepare Beef Wellington in the next round of Hell's Kitchen. Score 130 points or higher, then return to the basement and break the fuse box.
Another Life		Arsenal	Requires the "Beam Zone Unlocked" badge from the Hub. Using the Hush Puppy, shoot at a target located at the top of a crawlspace in a long, wooden hallway. Then, sole a puzzle that requires you to match the valves on four nearby pipes to the symbols shown above the door, which will open once you solve the puzzle. After that, create a virtual reality headset using the provided blueprints and chemical formula. Once worn, you will be teleported to an Arsenal role-playing game; complete it by defeating the T.A.N.K. boss to obtain the Mega Token.
Help a man out		Natural Disaster Survival	Talk to "Unnamed Man", a NPC on the island with yellow limbs, a red torso, and blue legs. After that, proceed to the center of the main area, which takes you to a laboratory with four replicas of maps in the game. Play one each of these maps and talk to the NPC during each round, who will hint toward the relevant disaster on the four specific maps. Once you have talked to the NPC on all four of the maps, return to the laboratory and complete the puzzle. The monitor will glow green when it is correct. Speak with Unnamed Man again to obtain the Token.
Darkness Defeated		Eat the World	Locate and press the brown hexagon button on the event map and complete the memory game. Then, enter the cave, where you will need to throw an object at a hidden door to obtain the Egg of All-Devouring Darkness. Feed this egg to the Noob, who will then teleport you to the Roblox Easter Egg Hunt 2012 map, where you will need to avoid the All-Devouring Egg as it eats the path ahead as you try to scale the mountain to the shrine on its peak.
Secret of the Past		Car Crushers 2	Access the Derby arenas and click the key on the round-end screen appears. Proceed to the OG Destruction Facility and navigate to the lower level, where a door will open revealing a small room with multiple symbols indicating what chambers you need to complete to unlock the Mega Token. Complete the freezer chamber in the OG Destruction Facility before going back to the modern Destruction Facility, where you should complete the remaining chambers and fall through a hole located just outside of the facility. Once complete, insert the key and unlock the vault.
Galactic Challenger		Blade League	Record the numbers shown on rotating colored blocks on four random maps, then enter the code into a numpad on the door behind the event area. Defeat the boss fight to earn the Token.
The Principal's Secret		Bayside High School	From the Principal's Office, stand near the principal's desk and take a photo of the yard outside the window with the in-game Camera tool. Then, complete the following steps: order a coffee from the local coffee shop and drink it near the science teacher's desk; go to the History classroom and write "247" on a Team Sign; go to the Music classroom and play the keys "DEaD" on the piano; and order a pizza and place it on the calculator on the desk in the Math classroom. Enter the Bunker that appeared after taking a photo of the yard (if all the lights are green) and sit in the chair highlighted by the "FAiluRe is noT permitted" picture in the lab, and fart. Defeat the principal in a game of Crossy Road by collecting bombs as you cross the street.
UNLOCKED		Regretevator	Requires the "Shape Zone Unlocked" badge from the Hub. Press the button located behind the television in the lobby and collect four blue sticky notes in elevator minigames, as well as four corrupted fragments in the lobby. Decrypt all of the fragments/floppy disks to obtain a code, which is input into a lockbox in a room that can be accessed via the vent above the large door in the lobby.
Sigil of the Deathwalker		Tower Defense Simulator	Log into the computer in the Crates area using the password "REDCLIFF FALLS" and complete the event map in Mega Mode.
Journey's End		Pet Simulator 99	Complete a level 16 or higher raid in the event area, then return to the chamber containing four houses and click on each door until you get a prompt. In this prompt, type "Knock Knock". enter the house and then immediately leave the room, going into the Rune room and clicking on the individual runes that spell out the word "GUNTER". This step may take multiple attempts and there is nothing to indicate if you've clicked the correct runes, but once complete, a Pot of Gold will spawn in the unlocked room. After verifying that this has happened, go back to the chamber with multiple houses and click on all the four-leaf clovers. This may also take multiple attempts and there is nothing to indicate when you've clicked enough clovers, but once complete, you should receive the Mega Token from the Pot of Gold.
Vault of the Traveler		Drive World	Teleport to the peninsula in the bottom left corner of the map and spawn a ball next to the crashed UFO. Use your car to move the spawned ball to the larger UFO crash in the top right corner of the map and place it in the designated hole. Then, locate the four UFO crash sites around the map, noting the associated symbols and numbers. Enter your observations into the pad that requires the symbols to unlock the vault.
The Void		untitled boxing game	Walk to the area behind the last boxing ring and jump onto the invisible platform with a long rope. Climb the rope to the top and hack the terminal until you have "infinite stamina", which you should use to repeatedly dash to the edge of the map. After getting "kicked" for hacking, press the "leave" button to get teleported an obby. Complete the obby, hack the terminal once more, and fight with the void boss to obtain the Mega Token.
Savior		IT GIRL	Pick up a remote control in the lobby and locate three pink batteries around the map, then activate the remote and navigate to the "Breaking News" channel. Locate four small notes, one large note, and two weapon parts in the lab. Use the code from the four small notes to open the vault. Utilize the keycard to unlock the obstacle course, then proceed to a shelf and shoot it with your laser gun. The second keycard will grant access to the Heart Core boss area.
Abyssal Echoes		Fisch	Speak with the NPC located near the lighthouse. Then, make your way to Terrapin Island and tilt the stones until they turn green to unlock the vault. Enter through the opened door, where you must navigate a maze within a limited time. Once you have successfully completed the maze, fish using a flimsy rod to catch a total of eight fish. Afterward, turn left to complete the obstacle course. It is important to remember the melody sung by Cthulhu during this process. Next, listen carefully to the melody of the fish you have caught. If a fish matches the melody that Cthulhu sang, you should place it in the vault in order. Successfully matching all the fish will result in the vault opening, and you will have 15 minutes to complete this task; otherwise, your notes will be reset. Once you obtain the Mega Token from the vault, return it to the NPC at the lighthouse to get the badge.

Mega Token hints

The clues for Mega Tokens were generally scattered amongst each floor, with the sole exceptions being Spongebob Tower Defense and RIVALS - both of which were posted to Roblox's socials.

untitled tag game	An image appeared on the left side of the Orb Zone's puzzle area showing a red fish and the text "BEWARE OF THE RED HERRING".		In graffiti, this is known as a tag.
Pressure	A sparkling radio appeared on the right side of the stairs to the puzzle, submerged in water. The radio is playing morse code.		The morse code played by the radio translates to "LET-VAND". The Let-Vand Zone is an anomalous zone located in the game "Pressure", where the main facility of the game, the Hadal Blacksite, is located.
Chained	🐴🐴🐴 + 🎣🎣 + 🤚🤚🤚 + 🦶🦶🦶🦶🦶🦶🦶🦶 =		The emojis are referring to units of length (horse length, or eight feet; a rod, or 16 1/2 feet; a hand, or 1/3 feet; and a foot) which add up to 66 feet, which is the length of a chain unit.
RIVALS	A chess board is found in the red area of the Block Zone.		The position on the board is the end position of "Brisbane Bombshell", a match played between Anatoly Karpov and Garry Kasparov, two chess players known for their rivalry. Due to the ambiguity of the puzzle, on March 16, 2025, Roblox tweeted the chessboard with the hint, "It was a great game between the two ______", with the missing word in the tweet being "rivals".
Clip It!	In the green video, a video was shown of a woman in a blue cowboy outfit twirling with the text "You'll never solve this one!".		This video represents the "clipping" mechanic in Clip It!
World // Zero	A riddle is found near the ice sliding puzzle: Through a portal, to realms unknown Evil lurks in the hidden cove Cut your way through the jungle vines Slay the dragon with icy spines A blistering desert claims the weak And a secret garden hides a fiery peak Traverse the ocean's deadly shoals And the darkened skies where thunder roars Ancient paradise hides ancient threats And castles dark hide darker yet A crystal tower waits ahead Where only crystal beasts will tread		The riddle describes World // Zero's entire game progression as of the event: the tutorial, Crescent Cove, Embersky Jungle, Glacier Valley, Pharaoh's Canyon, Konoh Gardens, Atlantic Atoll, Mezuvia Skylands, Wasteland Oasis, Stonewood Forest, and Crystal Cascade.
a dusty trip	An image of the Zero Labs logo was found on the left side of the Tile Zone entrnace.		Zero Labs is a company found in Jandel's games, notably "Field Trip Z", alluding to "a dusty trip" since it took place within the same universe as it.
Infection Gunfight	A cipher text was found in the central pillar: Amxl irhpiww pszi, ai pijx csy wpiitmrk. Rsa ai'vi wpiitmrk amxl csy. Hsr'x aeoi yt.		Using the Caesar ciipher to decode (+4), we get the following phrase: With endless love, we left you sleeping. Now we're sleeping with you. Don't wake up. This is a quote form the movie 28 Days Later, a zombie apocalypse movie.
Basketball Legends	Three images were foundto the right of the Tile Zone entrance: an image of the sky, a blue budgerigar, and a magician performing a hat trick.		The images allude to three NBA basketball legends: Air Jordan, a sportswear line produced for Michael Jordan; Larry Bird, and Magic Johnson.
Metro Life	A word search puzzle was found near the slider puzzle.		There are a total of 18 words that are five letters or longer: marble, mattress, telephone, tiger, train, elegant, envelope, radio, lifetime, laser, resident, expert, olive, orange, films, freezer, infection, and igloo. The intersecting letters of each of these words spells out "METRO LIFE".
Hell's Kitchen	A tic-tac-toe board can be found at the entrance of the Tile Zone maze.		Flipping the board 180 degrees, we can realize that this is the maze layout. Going to the circled locations brings you these three cryptic texts: By using the initial orientation of the tac tac toe grid, dividing the three 3x6 character grids into 3x3s provides you with the following coordinates: 40.76471, -73.99175. These coordinates give the location Hell's Kitchen, a neighborhood in Manhattan.
Arsenal	A cipher text was found on the rotating cube to the left of the entrance: OKDBIONVV: OCQY IKUBQUQUB ILS GABSITMXY - 22:56		Putting this cipher text into a Playfair cipher (without the letter J) will yield the text "PICADILY: LAST DEPARTURE FOR HEATHROW - 22:56". Looking this up will reveal the Piccadilly line, which serves the Heathrow Airport. The last departure at 22:56 bound for this station leaves from the Arsenal tube station.
Natural Disaster Survival	On the left side's obby, we can see the C: Face.		This is a reference to the 2012 April Fools incident, during which the C: face was uploaded. stickmasterluke, the creator of Natural Disaster Survival, is the sole owner of the face.
Eat the World	Some texts are found on the right side of the Beam Zone: FF 48 MAR 12¢		FF 48 refers to Issue #48 of the Fantastic Four comics, MAR refers to Marvel Comics, and 12¢ is the IND. This gives us the comic "The Coming of Galactus!"; at the end of this comic, Galactus declares that he'll consume the entire world.
Car Crushers 2	Down the ladder near the Beam Zone's puzzle, a GIF of a passenger car is found.		The GIF shows a passenger car getting bitcrushed the longer it goes on.
Blade League	A set of three numbers is found above the path: 1998, 2002, 2004.		These are the release years of movies in the Blade franchise.
Bayside High School	A GIF was discovered on the side of one of the platforms.		This GIF alludes to a scene from the TV series Saved by the Bell, which takes place at the fictional Bayside High School.
Regretevator	A radio, identical to the one for the Pressure hint, was found to the left of the entrance area. The number "1337" is located on the back of the radio.		The radio is playing elevator music and the number "1337" is a reference to the Infected from Regretevator, who only speaks in leetspeak.
Tower Defense Simulator	A series of emojis is found somewhere in the maze: ☀️ - ⭐ + ⚖️ + 💪 - 💕 + 🧙‍♂️ = ?		These emojis refer to tarot cards: the Sun, the Star, Justice, Strength, the Lovers, and the Magician. Getting their card numbers and doing the match gives you the number 16, which is the tarot card for the Tower.

The Hunt: Mega Final

On April 4, 2025 at 10AM PDT, 10 finalists competed live at Roblox's Headquarters in San Mateo for $1,000,000 by completing numerous challenges in a variety of games. The event was streamed simultaneously to Roblox's Youtube, Twitch and TikTok channels. Additionally, other creators and networks such as IGN and KreekCraft streamed the event live on their own respective channels.

Rules for this round: Two finalists will compete in one round per game. If the finalist wins twice in total, they will advance into the $1,000,000 round. But if the finalist loses twice, they will get eliminated.

Tower of Hell

Tower of Hell was the eighth and the final game of The Hunt: Mega Final that the finalists competed in. Shayph triumphed over Duddedud and ultimately won the $1,000,000 grand prize.

• 1 match. Climb as high as possible.
• Reach the top first or climb the highest to win the match.
• Double elimination still applies. If an undefeated contestant loses the first match, a second match will be played.
• Winner takes all.

  • The inclusion of the Zero Labs logo within The Hunt: Mega Edition, which was a hint to a dusty trip's Mega Token, was also alluding to Dr. Zero's return as the boss of the mission.

• This is the first event to feature a prize for completing a Discord quest.
• During The Hunt: Mega Final being streamed on ROBLOX's Youtube account, the chat would often spam things such as /claimhat, with the official ROBLOX account joining in as well, typing in a hat emoji.
• After a ban wave that occurred in the event, people who were banned have been given a t-shirt that you can equip of your avatar.
