As many of you are aware, Roblox has announced their latest egg-themed eggvent: The Hatch! Roblox has stated that 1,000 unique eggsperiences will be participating in the event, each with a 2-5 minute "quest" to obtain the egg for that experience.
While we are looking forward to documenting as much information as possible regarding this one-of-a-kind event, it is speculated that some experiences within the event may not meet current notability criteria. As such, we have made a minor adjustment to our criteria for new experience pages going forward...
Experiences participating within The Hatch event do not qualify for an individual page under the "Participation of an official Roblox event" notability criteria.
We do agree that The Hatch is considered a unique event and definitely deserves documentation of such on the Roblox Wiki, and this announcement does not have any bearings on the documentation regarding the event. However, we cannot afford to create dozens of new pages for experiences simply because of their involvement in an event with 1,000 experiences total. Quality over quantity is a core principle on the Roblox Wiki, and this change was made in order to ensure that low-quality pages are not created en masse as a direct result of this event.
This policy change is effective immediately. In the short-term future, we plan on having a standard policy for experience notability when an experience is involved in an event with a large amount of other experiences. As The Hatch event is a first of its kind, this is a temporary policy change while we plan a more permanent change.
