Winter Playland Building Contest was a contest that took place from November 17, 2008, to December 26, 2008. It was the last contest on Roblox for the year 2008.
Background[]
The contest was first announced in a blog post.[1] The objective was to build a Winter themed building. Every participants that submitted their games during the contest will receive the Cool Snowman Head. The winners would receive an Ice Crown and 200 Robux.
Entrance Procedure[]
In order for players to enter the contest they had to:
- Name one of their places with “WPBC” (standing for Winter Playland Building Contest) and they will get the Cool Snowman Head hat when the staffs give them out as a participation reward.
- Build a Turkey Dinner at Home
- Build a Skating pond
- Build a snow fort
- Build a Ski lift
- Build ice sculptures
- Build sleds
- Build snowball fight
- Build Gifts under trees
According to the Roblox blog the buildings would be judged according to:
- Originality (show us something new and exciting)
- Winteryness (it is a Winter Playland, you know)
- Fun (is your level fun?)
- Awesomeness (The “Wow! How did he do that?!” effect)
Go to a form and enter the username of your friend with the awesome Winter Playland place. Their place must be finished before you enter. Tell them why their place is so great. Then the staff will visit the nominated places and judge them. The staff will visit nominated places every couple days and give out hats only to the best places they see. Once a place has been visited a comment will be left on the event site explaining the result. You can search the site to see if you have been nominated.
