Winter Spotlight was an official event themed around winter, holiday or Christmas. It featured portals to user-created experiences, with a central hub experience. The event started on December 17, 2024 at 10am PT and ended on January 2, 2025 at 12pm PT.
Prior to the event's release, Roblox released the I.C. Snowman bundle onto the Marketplace for 19,000 Robux.

On December 12, 2024, the official Roblox account posted on X (formerly Twitter), stating the following: "A new event is in the works, but before that, we’re going to spotlight some of the best updates of the season starting December 17th. Get ready."[1]

- If a player noclipped through the wall by using a noclip emote prior to the opening of the event, should they have gone further down enough to the slide, they would have then been teleported back to the top area where players would have waited for the event to begin.
- This is the first winter-themed event in over 7 years since the Winter Games 2017 event.
- After the event concluded, the description changed to include, "Thanks for being part of the first Winter Spotlight..." This suggests that more Winter Spotlight events may happen in the future.
- This is the first of these, events to not use the two letter format.
- This marks the 5th time in a row that Dress To Impress has participated in an event.
- This is the first big main event since Metaverse Champions to include classic clothing as a prize.
- Despite this being a, "mini event," this has lasted longer than any of the previous modern events.
